I tried to look up articles about the redwoods burning up in CA and it was quite difficult to find anything factual. On the west coast before white men arrived (is it racist to say it that way...haha) either Indians (is it okay to call them that) would do controlled burns as it helped grow the wild foods they ate, or good ol’ Mother Nature burned the forest. That way the undergrowth and dry dead fuels burned, but the mature trees did not. So the western forests in those days were completely different from the forests now. Wide spaces with huge gigantic trees. That were virtually fireproof.
Now the fires are infernos because there is so much unburned fuel - leaf litter, dead branchies, small bushes especially manzanta that burns as thought that were its life’s mission, small trees or worse small dead trees (they die due to lack of sunlight because of the huge high forest canopy) etc. The infernos on the west coast are 100% the fault of rotten forest management controlled by environazis. And toss in a few arsonists but most are lightning.
When we moved on our property (fir forest mostly with some oaks and madrones) there were probably several dozen trees about 100-150 years old and many under that age, property had been logged around 1950 I think. HUGE stumps, old growth. Many of the old stumps and old pieces of bark were blackened here and there from a forest fire that had gone through but had not killed the big trees.
Mother Nature knows how to do it right. ANd if the forest service and timber companies who own large tracts of forest land did it her way, infernos would be no more and the forests would be much healthier. Controlled burns plus taking care of slash, forest debris etc by chipper shredding, lopping and laying or whatever it’s called to compost, , thinning unhealthy trees, etc.
That’s what I thought - oh they can still report when they want to. I suspect because that bit was for the eyes of other journos not the public.
People must earn my respect. He has yet to.
Lots of people write books, go on t.v, and say things with confidence.
That don't make them any better than us, or guarantee they know what they're talking about.
Our minds work just as good as t.v. people.
Not all of them. Some of them have opinions worthy of respect. Just not this LS character.

In the Red State article you posted about rallying in Portland I noted the lady in the first video. When asked her expectations, she expects to have a great time with fellow patriots and support law enforcement. God Bless her! This is what we are as Americans. What a far cry from the evil twisted BLM and aunty fay demonstrators.
Thankfully we live very rural where most everyone is armed. Even most of the hippies are armed. If Aunties and BLM tried that stuff around here they would be sorry quite soon. There is a section of the valley where mostl of the hippies live, many or most of whom support BMs and Aunties but Aunties would just as soon burn down their enclave as the neighborhoods in Portland they’re terrorizing. Ha!

And, to me, it makes perfect sense that young Patriots would gather on social media and plan their very own "Flash Mob" of their peers -- without involving the "old folks". Happens all the time in college towns...
YMMV...

Ha. Looks like Bagster. In his runnin’ days.
The two women who took the boys hat have been arrested:
El Guapo has the jew fro!!
Together, we will make the jew fro happen.
Now that one would require an elegant, stately rose with a soft fragrance! And imho it should be white also.
Yep, the monopoly on first-class mail can be changed, it’s been discussed before.
And don’t give me the false dichotomy of “it’s either run by the government or by Jack and Zuck”. There are any number of possible outsourcing, joint venture, partnership, and other models that could drive operational efficiency and innovation and dramatically improve the return on investment in USPS. Anyone who thinks we should let this government monopoly just keep doing what its been doing is nuts.
When I was doing projects for USPS in the early 90s, a former Ford executive named Marvin Runyon was named Postmaster General, a title he immediately discarded and called himself the CEO. For the first time, USPS started to be run like a business geared toward making money and pleasing customers. During his tenure at Ford, Runyon was known a cost control expert and he brought many of the same methods to USPS, including sending post office officials to Ford to study and learn about their systems. Runyon cut 23,000 management jobs (think about THAT!)and used some of the savings to hire more letter carriers and customer-facing employees to improve services. He also invested in automation to speed mail delivery, which is the part I know firsthand. Having worked with the other package delivery service companies, USPS was so far behind it was like they were using stone knives to do the job of power tools.
We need a man like Marvin Runyon leading the reorganization of the USPS again. A man of business.

Because I'm really annoyed at him.
I thought he was the worst videographer until I realized that he had the phone hanging from his neck, lol....
Actually there are certain trees that require fire/heat to allow for their seeds to begin initial growth. I want to say either the redwood or the sequoia are among them..but it’s been a few years (few...ok decades) since I was reading that stuff.
And your correct with your statement as well. I’m sure some will be lost but many will sustain and the burnoff is actually needed to clear away some of the undergrowth.
Where are you seeing that tweet? It’s not on his page.
