There are a few small re-established herds of wild horses, artificially placed in the wild, but where are there others? Passenger pigeons? Huge flyways of geese? Etc. You can’t point to these vast herds that once existed. They’ve been encroached on by burgeoning humanity, converting herd lands to farms and fencing off migration with barbed wire.
