I am a Christian

No holy roller but rational

I know of no other explanation of our existence whereby the creator is thought to have created himself to come live and die as his children he created and to do so as a commoner with little fanfare and to die at the hands of those he created rather harshly and refrain from freeing himself from that pain instantly but rather to show he can do it too and so can we

And if we trust and believe in him we will live forever with him in happiness

Truly incredible happiness

Not riches or all the sex you can eat .....

Nobody else offers that

Hence I do not allow darkness into my world and believe what

I fear it

I know it exists ....I seen the handiwork in ways a
I’d rather forget in Haiti and Sierra Leone

The universe has supernatural entities who fallen from Gods grace and live to destroy us to hurt him

I prefer to give them no window

Hope that makes sense

A scholar on the topic

The Bible warns of Satan’s grave threat to humanity by referring to him as “the god of this age” (2 Corinthians 4:4) who “prowls” the earth “looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). Demons are no less dangerous, as the Bible describes them as: “impure spirits” (Mark 1:27), “deceiving spirit[s]” (1 Kings 22:23), “the powers of this dark world” and “the spiritual forces of evil” (Ephesians 6:12), and as Satan’s “angels” (Revelation 12:9).
The Bible tells us that Satan and his demons can inflict harm on earth by:
Possessing people to cause them physical and spiritual harm (Matthew 12:22; Mark 5:1-20) and to make them do evil (Luke 22:3-4)
Blinding the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot see the light of the Gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4)
Deceiving people by disguising themselves as “servants of righteousness” (2 Corinthians 11:14-15)
Promoting false doctrine (1 Timothy 4:1) and performing signs to deceive humans (Revelation 16:14)
Tormenting believers (2 Corinthians 12:7)
How Can Christians Resist Evil?

Powerful post!

Tom Horn made an analogy a few years ago that the “lost” or hellbound are not our enemies. Jesus opened the Spiritual Jailhouse and allows everybody to get out of that jail if they Trust in Him. Those who refuse that freedom, remain in prison and will do so forever - free will and all that.

Everybody is viewed upon by Satan and his minions as a pawn and prize. Misery loves company and he wants every single one of us to share in that eternal misery that he chose. The choice is ours as to what path we choose.

Christianity is remarkably unique, and sadly the gate is narrow and few find it.

You’re already on the winning side. Let the Bible be your field guide and make sure you’re doing what it says, and not what some who claim to understand it tell you it says.

For instance, shepherds calling for their flocks to assemble under one roof aren’t doing what Isaiah 26:20 said to do in these times. His warning from God was, “Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut your doors behind you. Hide yourselves a little while until the wrath has passed. “

Isaiah 26:21 tells us why wrath is coming, “For behold, the LORD is coming out of His dwelling to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. The earth will reveal her bloodshed and will no longer conceal her slain.…”.

No group of people in all of human history who have murdered their offspring have come away unscathed. Are we so naive to think we’re exempt because we’re somehow “special”? America, read Revelation 18:7,

“... she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.”

“All the nations have drunk the wine of the passion of her immorality.“ Over 1 billion abortions were performed worldwide since the USSC ruling in 1973, from estimates I read.

Unpopular words, perhaps, but the root of the problem, IMO.

You are on the correct path.

Those are excellent scriptures you cite. The Bible is very accurate.
