Here's your potential wind speed field through Tuesday. Note that both are still in the Gulf and haven't made landfall yet. The one furthest east - median heading for the AL/FL border - is the hurricane. Ought to be a real humdinger down here when they mix it up around Thursday:

The last good one we had hit here two years ago took down a tree, the power lines, and had us blocked in for a full night and day. The temp was so sweltering, even at 11 at night, I sat in my car with the A/C running, listened to SiriusXM, and drank beer until I was good and sauced, so I could sleep through the heat. I figured, if I can't get out, the cops can't get in, so they can't write me up for sitting in a running vehicle with an open container in my own driveway. LOL
