That’s a horrible thing to say - but what’s this crap with people being suspended or fired over things they say?
I grew up (and still believe) we have free speech in this country and we can say whatever we want (on our own time) and if someone doesn’t like it, that’s THEIR problem.

In general I agree with you. Many, many people have been fired over innocent comments. Today’s United States is something like Brezhnevs Russia. You dont get executed for your non-PC comments. But your life is ruined.
However, sometimes a comment is an indicator of a mentally sick person. Such a person should be removed from any position where he can hurt others. For example, suppose a fireman says that he loves watching houses burn to the ground. That guy probably shouldnt be a fireman.
Just like the guy in the article probably shouldnt be working at a juvenile detention center.
Yes, I know that standard has been applied way too loosely. If you say something pro-Trump and you work at a university, youre a racist. So gone you are.
If you can be tied to your work you’re on the clock. Embarrass the job, lose the job. It’s always been that way. Only difference now is it’s WAY easier to embarrass the job.
I totally agree. Despicable thing to say but so what. If we don’t let a holes have free speech then we don’t have free speech.
Agree. Free speech. I hear alot of 2 wrongs make it right. No. Taking the cancel culture to court and winning is what needs to happen.
