One we had millions of cases in this country, contact tracing became idiotic. Maybe when we had hundreds of cases, but ut has been spread across the country just as infectious diseases are known to behave.

Even with cases numbering in the hundreds, contact tracing is all about a surveillance state and not about saving lives.

And take note that this screed is speaking against conducting this type of surveillance on illegals, who we actually need to survey in this manner (not "surveil", which is not a word).

The only situation I can think of where contact tracing actually was beneficial occurred in the 1980s.
That was when AIDS was the big thing and people knew who they had had sex with that was leading to the spread and deaths.
