John Legend, The Chicks, Common and Billie Eilish are among the performers scheduled to appear next week at the Democratic National Convention.

Also in the lineup: Leon Bridges, Jennifer Hudson, Billy Porter, Maggie Rogers, Prince Royce and Stephen Stills.

They will be featured at points during the four nights of the convention.

“These artists are committed to engaging with, registering and mobilizing voters to get us over the finish line in November,” Stephanie Cutter, program executive for the convention, said in a statement.

Convention organizers said that they will perform new songs and American classics. On Monday evening, youth choir members across the country will perform the National Anthem, with Commonwealth Youthchoirs arranging 57 members representing the 50 states and territories.

Because of the coronavirus, almost all of the convention will take virtually, after Democrats scrapped plans for speakers to travel to host city Milwaukee.

Except for the Dixie Chicks and Stephen Stills, I have never heard of any of those.

It’s all about a performance to the Dims. All fluff and no substance.

Yes, he did. I think this is more about remaining relevant and getting gigs than trying to score points against Trump. People gotta eat, you know.

Forgive my ignorance here, but are the dems having an actual, live convention with an audience?

If so; what is the difference between this and a live Trump rally that the dems and the media claim is "irresponsible" and "dangerous"?

Does the dem convention fall under the blm or democrat funeral rules where the virus knows not infect anyone so the regular rules of attendees, masks and social distancing do not apply?

I’m no fan, but Trump’s kindness doesn’t strip her of her right to participate freely in the political process.

If someone sheltered me during my darkest hours, I could not in good conscience speak ill of him or help anyone do the same. But thats just me.

So if Joe Biden comforted your daughter or granddaughter (caressing her hair?) when your family was grieving a loss, you couldn’t speak out in support of Trump 2020?
