Country music legend Dolly Parton spoke out in support of the Black Lives Matter movement during a recent interview with Billboard magazine.

In an article published this week, Parton, 74, said that while she hasn't participated in the protests sparked by the deadly police shooting of Minneapolis man George Floyd, she supports demonstrators' right "to make themselves known and felt and seen."

"And of course Black lives matter," she told the magazine. "Do we think our little white [expletive] are the only ones that matter? No."

Parton added that she's "not a judgmental person" and believes that "we all have a right to be exactly who we are."

In addition, she explained why she decided in 2018 to drop the word "Dixie" from the name of her dinner theaters in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and Branson, Missouri, now known as Dolly Parton's Stampede, following criticism.

I bet she’s only seen the photo ops of smiling, well-mannered, hand-chosen BLM youngsters helping de Blasio paint Black Lives Matter on the streets of NYC. She hasn’t a clue of the violence and hate they have spread over the entire country. Nope.. the MSM has safely insulated her and other Useful Idiots from the Truth of what they really stand for.

Many still believe the knee on neck narrative, but the truth is he overdosed on Fentanyl. It’s in the autopsy report

I wonder who paid the coroner to declare George Floyd's death a homicide.

She already folded to the PC crowd years ago when her Dixie Stampede shows erased any Civil War references.
Above all, she’s a businesswoman.

I’m not sure she can do a such a complex cost/benefit analysis like that.

"And of course Black lives matter," she told the magazine. "Do we think our little white [expletive] are the only ones that matter? No."

Who is this 'we' you're referring to??? Apparently those of us on the RIGHT don't get it so much...Many Democrats DO think their lives are the only ones that matter...Some of them are on a serious guilt trip but they make the mistake of thinking somehow all white people are as bigoted and prejudiced as they are...

I love ya Dolly but just keep on singin' and quit trying to think...You'll just hurt yourself...

It’s true. And he was saying, “I can’t breathe!” when he was still in the car, before the police officers got him to get out.

He was claustrophobic and on a lot of drugs. The police even asked him if he was on something.

Dolly Parton is a very bright woman in many respects. Some people do not WANT to hear all sides of an issue because it does not agree with their preconceptions. (I think soneone already said such above)

She does not understand that the statement “black lives matter” and the organization which expropriated that name are not the same thing.

I don’t think Dolly understands exactly what is meant by BLACK LIFE MATTERS. One thing it does not stand for is in protecting minorities.

It is nothing more then a front for those that want to overthrow our government.

Having said that, I will give her a pass. She is supporting what she believes BLM means. It is just a shame no one on her staff was able to help steer her around this political minefield.

“Do we think our little white [expletive] are the only ones that matter? No.”

Evidently, “little white whatever” lives don’t matter as evidenced in the brutal point blank execution of a five year old white boy by a black man. The MSM media has intentionally buried the story, refused to carry it and it is because Cannon Hinnant (say his name) was a little white whatever. So F#&$ you Dolly.

Dolly grew up in extreme poverty and became successful because of her musical talent and hard work. She owes the perpetually aggrieved crowd nothing. Too bad she’s now parroting the leftie party line.

She said black lives matter, not that she supports BLM, the group. And Dixie is not too different than other human trafficking slavers. I fail to understand the outrage here.

“””“When they said ‘Dixie’ was an offensive word, I thought, ‘Well, I don’t want to offend anybody.”””””

Yeah, you wouldn’t want to offend the people that would never go there anyway no matter what you called it. What a maroon.

Parton added that she's "not a judgmental person" and believes that "we all have a right to be exactly who we are."

Unless, apparently, you wish to celebrate southern heritage. Since that’s exactly who she was, why did she change and drop Dixie from her venue?

She does now. But she hasn’t always.

Dolly Rebecca Parton was born January 19, 1946 in a one-room cabin on the banks of the Little Pigeon River in Pittman Center, Tennessee.[6] She is the fourth of 12 children born to Avie Lee Caroline (née Owens; 1923–2003) and Robert Lee Parton Sr. (1921–2000). Her father, known as “Lee”, worked in the mountains of East Tennessee, first as a sharecropper and later tending his own small tobacco farm and acreage. He also worked construction jobs to supplement the farm’s small income. Lee was illiterate but Dolly Parton often says despite that fact, he was one of the smartest people she’s known in regards to business and making a profit.[7][1][8] Avie Lee was homemaker for the large family. Her 11 pregnancies (the tenth being twins) in 20 years made her a mother of 12 by age 35. Often in poor health, she still managed to keep house and entertain her children with songs and tales of mountain folklore.

IMHO she’s a kind soul. Naïve, perhaps, but far from stupid.
