The people have not accepted, and apparently will not accept, the proposition that the virus is going to do what it's going to do.
New Zealand just had a big celebration of 100 days virus free - and then these unexplained cases popped up.
I'm not sure that there IS a program or strategy that will "keep us safe", but, if there is, it's not what we are doing.

They're NOT opposed. If the NZ government would allow the new cases to be burned alive, it would be a very popular intervention.

All "reopening plans" that are based on testing are going to fail, and fail quickly.
The question will be, "what happens then"?
Based on my recent experiences, I think the people will be demanding a harsher "lockdown" by the end of September, and they may very well get it.
