I am sorry I am putting this out late...my daughter texted me at 10pm tonight and I never saw it and now can't get hold of her or her husband by phone.
Yesterday she had level at 94, last night and today 92 and today 89. She was tested for COVID Sunday and she got back Negative this afternoon but now I am very worried.
What should I do?
Sounds like a possible false negative.
Retest and keep taking the supplements and sleeping. See if a doctor can prescribe any of the therapy to further help.
Some tests are only right 90% of the time on their negatives.
Prayers up for health and guidance. Is she within driving distance or do you have any family members who are?
It is recommended that you test your pulse ox using your non dominant hand and then use your middle finger. Callouses can impede the reading and give a lower number.
Pinging. I don’t know other medical people here at FR, or don’t recall who they are.
Anything under 90% on the pulse oximeter is low. She should go to the hospital.
Can she contact her doctor or whoevers on call?
If shes short of breath she should get a chest X-ray.
but for what its worth Medicare won't pay for home oxygen unless you're below 89 or so....its borderline....
but, I would encourage her to stay close the phone for now...
I had low numbers like that once when I was junked up with bronchitis. I don’t think you’re going to pass out at 89%, but it’s low. She needs to get to a doctor.
I’m 20 minutes away but they would have alarm on and should I be freaking out at 89%?
911 Below 90 My Kid gives O2 He’s FD EMS
Let Fauci test her. Hell count her as two positives.
If I had a question I'd drop by urgent care or the rescue squad and ask them to check it.
No need to freak out at 89 but you she should report to an ER.
Pray!
I will pray too.
Pray for peace, give your worries to Him
Pray that you will hear from her.....soon even.
Sing a hymn.....seriously .....sing praises to Him in the middle of your trial
It will lift your spirits
Pray for her oxygen level to go up...
....they can vary......my husbands fluctuate too.
Pray for peace.
Thank God
I have no idea what normal oxygen levels are. It sounded like you did. Maybe look it up on WebMD?
If she is testing herself while wearing nail polish it can mess up the reading
That’s what I have read as well. GET TO THE HOSPITAL! IIRC you can handle less than 90 for a little bit (an hour or two???). Of course, it sounds like she is continuing to go lower which becomes even more critical.
Prayers up.
