What happens if there’s no clear winner?

WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE’S NO CLEAR WINNER? There has been a lot of loose talk from both presidential candidates about rigged or stolen elections of late, and many predict a lengthy legal battle over the presidency.

President Trump warned this week that the outcome could be in dispute for “months and months” or “for years.”

But let’s not get ourselves all knotted up in the claims of our hyper hyperbolic president or his rhetorically sloppy challenger, Joe Biden. Instead, let’s run through the realities of an inconclusive presidential election.

If it is Michelle Obama as the VP pick, the GOP will be obliterated, something like 1964 or 1974.

The name of the game is to wear out the public so that it throws up its hands and gives up without a peep.

At the risk of sounding naive, the solution to lawlessness is self-evident to virtually everyone: apprehend and prosecute all lawbreakers!

This is a presidential a year so why compare it to a mid term election? Nobody brings voters out like Trump. He has A HUGE enthusiasm gap over Biden. Biden can't buy love.
2. President Trump’s poll numbers actually went UP after the impeachment and the Dems poll numbers went down. Same as what happened with Bill Clinton. Latest polls from no partisan sources like the Sunday Express, Emerson, Rasmussen and Harris have the election tied or with Trump ahead.
3. The Obama regime is by far the most corrupt, incompetent, sleaziest presidency in American history. These f*kers actually SPIED on the candidate Trump’s campaign. Nothing in US history even comes close. I wish they'd nominate Moochelle. Biden would get slaughtered. But Biden is dead meat anyways whoever he chooses.
The Dems chances of msintanying the House keeps slipping by the minute and there is close to zero chances of the drms taking over the US Senate.

A quick trial for sedition and swift execution for Soros snd his evil cabal of anarchists will go a very long way to send the Antifa/BLM terrorists slithering back to their snake holes, hissing and snarling at each other.

I know it wasn’t your point. Sorry I sounded off. I just tire at times at all the bickering between patriots who believe in the same bigger picture .... I think.

Have a good day.

This kind of stuff starts civil wars. You have both coasts in support of the Left. Then you have the Heartland that would support America. So it could get ugly really fast. We are already seeing civil disturbance in our biggest cities right now.

“This kind of stuff starts civil wars. You have both coasts in support of the Left. Then you have the Heartland that would support America. So it could get ugly really fast. We are already seeing civil disturbance in our biggest cities right now.”

I mean this in a respectful way: isn’t your post inherently contradictory?

On the one hand you say the nation is deeply divided regionally - the Left supporting urban and coastal regions vs. the America supporting rural heartland - and that this division portends civil war.

On the other hand, your examples of portentous civil unrest are taking place exclusively in the Left-supporting urban regions.

Could it be that this violence is not leading to civil war at all, but is rather a tragic but unilateral failure of the Left-supporting urban social model, while the America-supporting rural heartland region must sadly stand by and watch?

If I am right, as tragic as it is to see, perhaps we are witnessing federalism in action - “the great experiment” operating as the Framers intended. Namely, the states that choose well peacefully flourish and prosper, while the states that choose poorly self destruct.

Perhaps, the failed Democrat politicians who caused this mayhem will eventually be relegated to the “dustbin of history“ where they belong.

Just a thought.

I see your point. I was talking about strongholds for both sides. Of course, you will see ANTIFA everywhere. Even in Texas where Austin is located. Enough said.

There’s more to California than just San Francisco and Los Angeles. If this nation is going to split, it might be like what we saw in the Balkans during the ‘90s.

Personally, I don’t find this summer’s inner city violence and destruction as portentous as some do.

Yes, it is tragic for the locals being victimized, but I don’t think it is pure politics and will not last much longer - certainly not a day past November 3.

The Democrats made the political calculation that if they stirred up BLM violence, it would be blamed on the establishment - the Trump administration.

In order to to do that, they had to embrace BLM and justify the violence. They thought President Trump would send in the federal troops like Nixon.

Unfortunately for them, the President saw them coming and played them like a fiddle. He offers to help them, but not unless they a cdpt responsibility (blame) and officially ask for his help.

The Democrats are looking so bad right now.
