They're emphasizing their ability to suspend all services and accounts of any user who violates their MS Services Agreement.
A rather lengthy list, but this statement caught my attention: "Dont engage in activity that is harmful to you, the Services or others (e.g., transmitting viruses, stalking, posting terrorist or violent extremist content, communicating hate speech, or advocating violence against others).
I wonder who gets to define the above? What, exactly, will they consider hate speech?
that would be SaaS not SAS. SAS is a Statistical Analysis System and transmission is tricky over X.25.
Again: to what service did you sign up to receive this? This is a EULA. This is as boilerplate as they come. You’ve got a problem with the way they word something? Do you think Microsoft doesn’t employ a fleet of lawyers? If you don’t like how something is worded, then don’t consume their services. Not sure why you thought it was necessary to post yet another anti-MS FUD screed on FR because of some words that triggered you. I just don’t get it.
Honestly... just the characters MS trigger me. :)
Even my work computer (Windows 10) only runs one program--VMware Workstation--so that I can run Linux exclusively at work. Only those people I have told actually know that I run Linux. With my messenger program, and Office suite, I interact daily with people all over the institution and they do not know I don't run Windows.
It makes my job *so* much easier.
Really? Of course the answers are Microsoft and any Conservative thought.
They missed me.
I knew that Ace, I just had to rib you a bit. You were obviously way ahead of the game. I now kick myself for not doing it sooner. So much heartache and MS customer abuse I could have avoided. But at least I got out of the mess while still in win 7 mode and have been able to ward off the wonderful win 10 “experience” altogether. Cool that you can use it at work also and have that peace of mind. :)
LOL. That's exactly what I do with my work laptop. I honestly do not understand how people deal with not having the gnu toolset available.(along with vi)
