Thought the same thing but then thought, “Might be USSS protocol.”
They aren’t really police so their methods are likely different.
It makes sense that the first agent that makes contact (or shoots the mook) stays with the perp to make sure proper healthcare is used.
Deep State operatives in EMS?
It is DC, after all.
Then, agent health check and debrief of incident at hospital.
Also, forensic investigation...gun hold for ballistics.
Powder residue sample.
Likely retained his own brass.
All done inside a “protocol bubble”.
