Not good, but not necessarily bad - my cousin of about 65 years of age had it and fared well.

Does she have symptoms? I hope she’s fairly young. If so, she’ll do pretty well most likely.

I second the recommendation - Quercetin and a Zinc supplement. I do not fully know the effectiveness of Quercetin, but it has some promising research in its favor.

Whatever you do, do not ask for medical advice on message boards. Including this one. Hope she feels better soon.

I, an adult son and a grandson 19 years old. Probably had this crud From pre Thanksgiving to New Years.

Serendipity: I had blood in my urine and got a Quinolone po drug for 10 days. The doctor told me not to take advil since I have a FIB and I’m on blood thinners so no advil. I was put on a new Cpap machine for sleep apnea during my ordeal. That like the Quinolone may have been some really good luck coincidences

I had aches all over, a low fever and zero sense of smell and minimal appetite.

My son had much less temp and was put on bed rest and also Zero Advil, his normal drug of choice for flu and body aches. Bed rest rxed for both of us. His sense of smell was zero and minimal appetite. He was told to drink a lot of fluids and to eat small amounts. He ODed on Quinine water.

The grandson had milder symptoms and was told to eat, drink and get bed rest. He was basically over his crud in less than a week.

None of our female relatives had any problems from Grandparent to adults and to teen grand kids.

This was happening from last pre Thanksgiving into the new year. Supposedly, then, no one knew anything about this virus.

However, looking back, there were apparently some docs who had an inkling of what was happening with their patients. My son and I have the same FP at our big hmo.

Turn off the AC and open all the windows in your home if the family must stay in the home with her. COVID is airborne regardless of what anyone else may say. And a mask is useless to protect those not already sick.

Ditto what someone said on the zinc quercetin, vitamin D with K2 (k2 helps the D absorb better) and vitamin c. There is a local doc who is treating his patients with nebulizes budesonide.

My 21 yr old son had it, and recovered. Caught it delivering pizza. My daughter and I probably had it too, but did not get tested to avoid contributing to bs statistics.

My doctor said to use zinc and quercetin - just as effective and available in every heath store.
Best of luck . . . .

Regarding a substitute for HCQ:

Schwepps Tonic Water contains appx 80 mg Quinine per liter.

Thus as per the Zelenko protocol, 3 liters of Schwepps will fulfill a single dose of the Zelenko HCQ prescription. While it seems a lot of tonic, it is easier for the sick to drink Tonic water than plain, as it has taste.

Note: A marker for the Covid-19 is loss of smell and taste.

Loss of smell and taste is also a symptom of Zinc deficiency.

A friend was sick with Covid last month. Did not know about HCQ. Agreed to drink 3 liters/day of Tonic Water. Dropped it off daily, along with a bottle of Zinc Glyconate lozenges from Life Extension Foundation directed to take 220mg/day of same. Began to feel better 16 hrs later, and sense of smell and taste returned 48 hrs later. Back at work now.

Here is the Zelenko protocol. Added is an editorial someone wrote.

Norski
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

SUCCESSFUL THERAPY AGAINST COVID-19 VIRUS from New York State:
Dr. Vladimir (Zev) Zelenko
Board Certified Family Practitioner
501 Rt 208, Monroe, NY 10950
845-238-0000
March 23, 2020
To all medical professionals around the world:
My name is Dr. Zev Zelenko and I practice medicine in Monroe, NY. For the last 16 years, I have cared for approximately 75% of the adult population of Kiryas Joel, which is a very close knit community of approximately 35,000 people in which the infection spread rapidly and unchecked prior to the imposition of social distancing.
As of today my team has tested approximately 200 people from this community for Covid-19, and 65% of the results have been positive. If extrapolated to the entire community, that means more than 20,000 people are infected at the present time. Of this group, I estimate that there are 1500 patients who are in the high-risk category (i.e. >60, immunocompromised, comorbidities, etc).
Given the urgency of the situation, I developed the following treatment protocol in the pre-hospital setting and have seen only positive results:
1. Any patient with shortness of breath regardless of age is treated.
2. Any patient in the high-risk category even with just mild symptoms is treated.
3. Young, healthy and low risk patients even with symptoms are not treated (unless their circumstances change and they fall into category 1 or 2).
My out-patient treatment regimen is as follows:
1. Hydroxychloroquine 200mg twice a day for 5 days
2. Azithromycin 500mg once a day for 5 days
3. Zinc sulfate 220mg once a day for 5 days
The rationale for my treatment plan is as follows. I combined the data available from China and South Korea with the recent study published from France (sites available on request). We know that hydroxychloroquine helps Zinc enter the cell. We know that Zinc slows viral replication within the cell. Regarding the use of azithromycin, I postulate it prevents secondary bacterial infections. These three drugs are well known and usually well tolerated, hence the risk to the patient is low.
Since last Thursday, my team has treated approximately 350 patients in Kiryas Joel and another 150 patients in other areas of New York with the above regimen.
Of this group and the information provided to me by affiliated medical teams, we have had ZERO deaths, ZERO hospitalizations, and ZERO intubations. In addition, I have not heard of any negative side effects other than approximately 10% of patients with temporary nausea and diarrhea.
In sum, my urgent recommendation is to initiate treatment in the outpatient setting as soon as possible in accordance with the above. Based on my direct experience, it prevents acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), prevents the need for hospitalization and saves lives.
With much respect,
Dr. Zev Zelenko

EDITORIAL, not a medical professional:
Most likely, we are all going to get this, or have a loved one who does, or we’ve already had it.

Because the Hydroxychloroquine (quinine derivative) is such an old, well-known and tolerated drug, (used world-wide for malaria without prescription for over 70 years) and is generic, which means it is quite cheap and will not make huge profits, it is being denigrated and withheld as much as possible.

Try to get your doctor to prescribe it, and then a pharmacy to fill it.
It is commonly prescribed long-term for autoimmune diseases such as rheumatiod arthritis and lupus.

For those of us who can’t get this Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) for whatever reason, there are substitutes. So keep this information, look it up, try it out when you or your loved one gets sick. .

Here are some substitutes:

1. Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) (Quinine derivative) 200mg twice a day for 5 days
SCHWEPPS Tonic Water contains 80mg per liter of QUININE. 3 liters of the stuff will have about 240mg of Quinine. 5 liters will give you the same daily amount as above (200mg twice day = 400mg)
They tell you to push fluids when sick. So, SCHWEPPS Tonic water. Try the 3 liters. Get zinc in cells.

2. Azithromycin (Zpak) 500mg once a day for 5 days
Can’t get Zpak? If you take enough vitamin C (10-20 grams per day, spaced out about a gram (1000 mg ) per hour, it acts like an antibiotic. Maybe dissolve in the tonic, but don’t take pills on an empty stomach. If your stool gets soft, skip three hours and dial it back to a gram every other hour. (But you will absorb more vitamin c than you ever thought you could.)

3. Zinc sulfate 220mg once a day for 5 days. (MUST TAKE THE ZINC - IT’S CRITICAL)
Zinc piccolinate, zinc glycinate, zinc gluconate supplements, all seem to work just fine. Check locally, order Amazon, or Puritans Pride www.puritan.com stock #2000 will work, or LifeExtension Foundation#01561 or #01961 www.lef.org. Advise the zinc 220mg dose for 5 days, not more.

A young athlete will no doubt do well. Anticipate the possibility of a fever lasting many days.

Watch your blood sugar if you’re diabetic.

And let the coach know.

Weird we have to quarantine her in her own house.

It is important for her to become sicker due to breathing the same air (where have you ever seen an official recommendation to regularly ventilate the rooms and houses of the quarantined?) and a lack of sunshine and exercise, and to share this virus with others in your home, rather than getting outside and obtaining good nutrition, while practicing social distancing for about a week until she is no longer contagious.

For it is politically important that the case numbers climb in order to strangle the economy, and increase dependence upon the government to provide $ it does not really have, thus leading to a dictatorship by revolutionaries as proxy servants of the devil who selfishly lust after power to impose their perversions of what God has ordained.

Research shows:

New research in June by two medical scientists at Stanford University and UCLA found that, on average, a person in a typical medium to large U.S. county who has a single random contact with another person has a 1 in 3,836 chance of being infected without social distancing, hand-washing or mask-wearing.[1][2]

Also it is reported that according to the latest immunological studies, the overall lethality of Covid-19 (IFR) is about 0.1% to 0.3% and thus in the range of a severe influenza season[3] And while an estimated 1,200 children died in the (2012-2013 flu season[4] only 75 children have died due to COVID-19 (reported July 22)[5]and only 2 percent of domestic COVID-19 cases have occurred in children under 18, only 20 children under age five in the U.S. have died because of it, while the vast majority of children with severe COVID tend to have other risk factors.[6]

Meanwhile, wearing masks, while warranted in some situations, is shown to reduce blood oxygen levels (pa02) significantly, relative to the (limited) effectiveness of the mask and length of time worn. [7]And mask-wearing effects extend to dental issues such as decaying teeth, receding gum lines and seriously sour breath.[8]

Also, the great fear of outside contact is hardly rational,[9] with one study of 318 outbreaks involving 1,245 cases in China finding just one transmission that occurred outdoors, infecting just two people. Most of those who were infected and died were occurred at home..[10] Up to eighty percent of people who become infected with the virus have either no symptoms or experience it as a mild respiratory infection.[11] And it is postulated that some in the “no symptoms“ class may actually be immune. [12][13]

As for quarantines, close to half of all COVID-19 deaths have occurred in long-term care facilities, especially elder care facilities which account for over 40% of US deaths.[14][15] Which means that the 99.4 percent of the country that does not reside in those facilities is roughly half as likely to die of COVID-19,[16] even to the fatality rate of COVID-19 probably being “0.13 percent for people outside nursing homes and 0.26 percent — identical to the CDC best estimate — when people in nursing homes were included.”[17] - More

I’m pretty sure I had it back in Dec. One thing I did was mix a half teaspoon of cayenne pepper in 6oz of water and drink it. Cayenne pepper is a disinfectant. I use it for a multitude of ailments.

btw, I never changed my lifestyle during the time I had this horrible cough. I went out daily, meeting my friends for breakfast, playing pool, etc.
