Who would you rather take a cross country road trip with - Hitler or Manson?
I always said Hitler. I've seen interviews with Manson, and he just talks gibberish outa his ass. I'd throw him out of the car before we even got out of town.
At least with Hitler, we could have some semblance of an intelligent conversation. Even if he only spoke German and I only spoke English, it's still be more intelligent than anything with Manson.

Ya, I get Manson gibbers, but the overall point I get from the perfomance is that the violence in kids comes from the neglect of their parents, and there are people out there more than ready to take advantage of that and put it to use.
I know a girl who lived in the Laurel Canyon area of California. The few months before the murders she actually picked up a hitchhiker who after only a few blocks made her feel so uncomfortable she had him get out of the car.
She recognized him when they picked him up and had him all over the news.
