Entertained the wrong word. I find it hard to believe people believe these things, even in a religious context.

Louis Farrakhan has been a rabid Jew-hater from the getgo. His problem is not a lack of backbone, but the lack of compunction of a warped, evil mind.

Much worse now. Poor whites used to hate blacks because their social status was so low that all they had to hold up was their whiteness. Now spoiled whites hate their own whiteness, because that way they get to become honorary blacks so long as they know their place. In former years, the haters were trying to hold their heads up. Now it’s been aimed inward as a form of self-abasement, and then aimed outward at all non-woke whites, black police officers and conservatives, and at anyone who dares to own a store with something worth stealing on display. If Wilfred Owen were alive and in Portland, what a poem he would write.

I made zero criticism of the Jews. You need to be more intelligent in your reading comprehension.

I do not blame you harshly, your mind has been shaped in ways you are unaware.

The best result in thinking and believing is the result of keeping an open mind. But keeping an open mind is very difficult.

Your mind is full of assumptions. Your thinking does not permit objectivity. You are governed by emotion, not objectivity.

It is very pleasurable in our current age to love a sense of superiority. That is why so many ignore what anyone else is actually saying.

Lol

I hate that that show is so funny and I have indulged in it because it is so disgustingly left-wing. But God forgive me it makes me laugh out loud :)

Even though they killed my Lord LOL. We all know that Romans did but it was a hysterical line in the song. He wants help from Jewish people even though he believes this in his heart :-)

Thanks for the laugh. There is some truth to it. Everybody can use a Jewish friend. I’m from Staten island and of course I hung around with and hang around with the tougher bunch of Jews from different parts of Brooklyn. Working class. Right-of-center. And loyal to a fault.

Couldn’t ask for better friends, many of them. But why oh why can’t I find a Jewish friend that is a multi-millionaire :-)

you know what? The same reason I don’t have any Christian friends that are millionaires. Maybe worth a few million but that’s not a whole lot these days. The very wealthy hang around with the very wealthy and denominations do not matter

Don’t look at me. I’m lousy with money and math, not even into it.

Union Army uniforms were made of wool. Summer and winter. Confederate Army made their uniforms out of cotton.

Thanks, so much for that tidbit. My recollection is his dad was a tanner and leather merchant.

It’s something that I picked up from reading civil war histories over the years, but I did do some checking before posting. I don’t think this site is one that I found before but it’s about the same as the others:

http://www.civilwar.com/history/soldier-life-85851/148550-clothing-of-the-civil-war-soldiers.html

“The southern soldier was highly regarded for traveling with a very light load basically because he did not have the extra items available to him that the northern soldier had. Southern uniforms were quite different from the northern uniforms, consisting of a short-waisted jacket and trousers made of “jean” cloth- a blend of wool and cotton threads which was very durable. Dyed by different methods, the uniforms were a variation of greys and browns. Northern soldiers called Confederates “butternuts” because of the tan-grey color of the uniforms. Vests were also worn and were often made of jean material as well. Shirts and undergarments were universally of cotton material and often sent to the soldiers from home.”

“Union uniforms were universally of better quality because of numerous mills throughout the north that could manufacture wool cloth and the steady import of material from Europe. The Union soldier’s blouse and trousers were wool and dyed a dark blue until 1862 when the trouser color was altered to a lighter shade of blue. The floppy-crowned forage cap, made of wool broadcloth with a leather visor, was either loved or loathed, but universally worn by most soldiers in the Army of the Potomac”

“Like their Confederate counterparts, most Union soldiers disdained the itchy wool flannel army shirt for cotton shirts and undergarments sent from home.”

https://www.historynet.com/civil-war-uniforms

“The Southern cotton fields allowed for cotton cloth in Confederate uniforms, while the North’s troops wore wool, which was warm in winter and relatively cool in summer—as long as a breeze was blowing.”

https://www.civilwaracademy.com/civil-war-uniform

Union Soldier Uniform
The United States controlled the factories and had massive industrial capacity which was able to produce high quality wool uniforms for all of their troops.

The Confederate Civil War Uniform
The Confederacy was not an industrial powerhouse, they did not have many manufacturing plants that could easily create thousands of uniforms. The south was primarily an agricultural society.

They had plenty of cotton for uniforms, they were also made of wool and jean but they didn’t have the means of producing proper uniforms in large quantities like the Union did. The Confederate uniform was usually a hodgepodge and often the soldiers looked very different from each other.

I’m sure that re-enactors have studied this subject in minute detail and could provide the references that you want.

IIRC both Shelby Foote and Bruce Catton both discuss uniforms in their trilogies. But you’re going to have to read a lot of material to find it.

At the very beginning of the war units were very individualistic and there was a wide variety of clothing. Zouaves on boths sides being the most dramatic examples. More standardization among Union units than Confederate, which in some cases had blue uniforms too close to Union gear.

Over time as uniforms were supplied by quartermaster depots they became more “uniform”. Soldiers would still try to use what they found most comfortable, a practice that continues to this day.

Well Farrakhan is a Jew hating fool with no more interest in fact than Joseph Goebbels. So there is that.

There was no KKK at all until after the Civil War and most of it centered in Tennessee for reasons peculiar to the occupation government in that State.

https://www.gutenberg.org/files/31819/31819-h/31819-h.htm

It was founded by six former Confederate soldiers whose names and religious affiliations are known: Capt John Lester, Methodist; Major James Crowe, Presbyterian; John Kennedy, Presbyterian; Calvin Jones, Episcopalian; Richard Reed, Presbyterian; and Frank McCord, Methodist. There was a higher percentage of Jews in the Confederate Army than the Union, but this crew appear to all be Anglo-Celtic Christians.

Calypso Louis couldn’t possibly know from whom they purchased textiles, but considering the South’s preference for trade with England it’s more likely it was from there if it wasn’t locally made. Rope was a necessary item in the era of horse power and rope making was a common industry with lots of small factories.

Slave brokers routinely advertised in the newspapers of the day and someone has probably written a history of that. If he knew of Jewish brokers then I suspect that Farrkhan would have named them.
