Dad is still sharp and active. Does not smoke, does not drink, still cuts his own grass, chops his own fire wood, teaches a class once a week and eats healthy. Normal weight, normal blood pressure, normal blood sugar, no medication.
Has occasional back pain but don't we all.
Started having dizzy spells about a month ago so we took him to the doctor which is why he is getting all these tests in the first place. They found he has an obstruction in his carotid artery but the rest of his vascular system is clean and healthy. They are not sure how or why the obstruction happened and just in that one place but they suspect at some point he might have had an injury in that area. They are planing surgery to remove the obstruction in the next week or so.
But I just am not comfortable when one of the doctor's first reaction is to start him on medication for a problem he does not even have.
Nah. I think your instincts are right.
It's almost impossible following standard nutritional advice. That's because the nutritional advice is wrong. It's pretty easy once you follow a diet meant for a human being.
