CINCINNATI (FOX19) - The doors at Arcade Legacy: Bar Edition in Northside won’t be opening again anytime soon — if at all.

The bar’s owner, Jesse Baker says it was already a struggle bouncing back after being shut down for months. Now, with Gov. Mike DeWine’s order barring alcohol sales at bars and restaurants after 10 p.m., Baker explains there’s no way he can keep his doors open.

“It’s definitely been a big struggle for us,” Baker said. “It’s been a worry for our family, just to see if we can even survive and pay the bills. We’ve definitely had to sell some of our belongings to make rent.”

Arcade Legacy: Bar Edition is a unique hangout with pinball machines, arcade games and a console lounge — but no food on the menu to rely on as alcohol revenue dwindles.

The bar only reopened two weekends ago after being shut down due to the pandemic.

Urbanization:

-Public property
-Crowding
-Light and noise pollution
-Anonymity
-Natural disconnect
-Highly transient

Industrial Revolution and socialism:

-Feminism
-Globalism
-Breakdown of family unit and religion

How do we accommodate a modern high tech and industrial society which creates cities, but preserve culture and maintain social order?

The answers have been (just one example) government subsidizing school lunches for all, before and after school programs, summer camps, full/all day schools, lots of counselors at schools... Which all of course only addresses the break down of the family (high divorce rates and single mom) and dual income homes in this industrial and urban world. Why do you think that now given this BS pandemic schools -will- open no matter what? Based on how we should protect ourselves and others (according to the majority accepted and expert ideas), i.e. social distancing, should we really be opening schools?

The history of man was defined by man shaping his environment. Today the environment is shaping us more so than in the past, specifically urbanization and the industrial society define social interactions, our circadian rhythm, male-female roles, ideas or philosophies regards right and wrong, beautiful and ugly, an after life, economics... ***Do you think a Karl Marx or Nietzsche would have existed or gotten any social traction in a society pre-urban and pre-industrial?***

Under Urbanization I believe that anonymity, crowding and the transient nature of cities leads to a higher degree of disconnect that robs people of their community identity.
When the various waves of immigration hit the various cultures grouped together, even in the cities, and they were able to thrive.
Not so now.

The “immigrants” now inhabiting the cities are completely foreign to our ways of thinking. They bring tribalism and a “hand out not a hand up” belief. They have arrived at the land of the EBT card and they want theirs.

The industrial Revolution brought on problems of it’s own.
Workers in factories were just a half step above slaves.
Blacklisting, firing without rhyme or reason, slave wages and long, dangerous work hours led to the push for unionism was just the foot in the door of socialism.
The socialists were roaming the country in the earliest days of the colonies.
Don’t forget the original Massachusetts colony was socialist and brought on the hungry winter because too many of them didn’t work, leaving a few to labor for them all. After the Indians saved the colonists the colony changed their rules to no work=no eat.

Feminism? The original feminists might be horrified at what is now going on in their name.
What originally was a push for equal pay and rights in inheritance has morphed into manhating lesbians who don’t realize they are puppets of the communists. When they finally get their socialist utopia they will be very surprised when the party turns on THEM.

We CAN accommodate a high tech/industrial society as long as we minimize government involvement in everything from the factory floor to our private lives.
Not saying it would be easy, nothing worthwhile ever is, but doable.

First thing is get government completely out of the schools. We need to school the youngsters in the beliefs and deeds of the founding fathers. The brilliant men who took the best from the societies that came before and created a small but efficient government.

“*Do you think a Karl Marx or Nietzsche would have existed or gotten any social traction in a society pre-urban and pre-industrial?”

Marx, Nietzsche and that lot could only exist in an urban/industrial world. Only in a world where most of mans basic necessities are met could they prosper.

I’m reminded of a letter one of the early Church fathers wrote when visiting Rome.
He was astonished to find women running around barebreasted sticking pigs with spears and screaming like warriors.
He was horrified by the Roman orgies. Men and women would stuff themselves with food and drink until full, go into a side room to throw up everything they hat eaten, then return to the feast to fill up again.
Then there were the sexual orgies.....
Those were the symptoms of a society in decline.
Due to the socialists and their identity politics system we are in the latter days of the Republic.
There is time to turn it around but the time is short.
