Rusty Kuntz was also on that Tiger team, he lived across the street from me in 1974-76. He was in school then, would play in our fast pitch softball league when school was out.

Kuntz was one of MLB stars that arranged the Professional Slo-pitch Softball league.
Another, I think, was Norm Cash.
It was filled with retired stars.
He played for the Detroit Kings (?); home field was Tiger Stadium.
Batting practice was hoot, watching Stormin Norman stroke softballs over the Tiger stadium wall.
And, then...the game just carried on the show.
I thiink that league had 6 teams around the midwest.
Competititve, too.
7 innings and exciting scores.
One I attended v. Chicago was 42 to 39.
7 grand slams between them.

That reminds me of a story about this one time in band camp.
