Another good do-ahead sauce that is great on pizza or atop pasta.........
or over mushrooms braised in Marsala served with a grilled steak.

Instant White Sauce / Makes 2 cups

With an immersion blender or a regular blender, puree thick and creamy,
about 30 sec to a min 2 cups h/cream ½ cup chp fresh basil 1/4 cup chp fresh chives
1 ½ tsp lemon zest 2 tb fresh l/juice minced gar/cl, pinch ea crushed red pepper flakes, ks/p.

Store in fridge. Warm to serve.

I saw something today that I'd never seen before - little, edible sugar 'doilies' that you can put in tea, or on top of cupcakes. A search on 'Sugar doilies' will bring up ready made ones, mats you can use to make your own, of all sizes, recipes from scratch, or ready-to-use mixes for the sugar mixture (the pic is from http://bonniechristine.com/2012/handmade/edible-sugar-doilies/)
