And look around the world, certainly isn’t singularly a “US/Trump problem”.

There is NO major problem other than a virulent flu with no vaccine. This is NOT as if we had Smallpox, Tuberculosis or the Bubonic Plague running rampant. Arrghhh.....

” the public may finally be starting to see the limitations and failures of big government.””

This guy is a clueless libertarian. The public isn’t seeing that government can’t help them. on the contrary, the public wants to be financially rescued by the government - and both parties have been supporting massive rescue packages since March. NOBODY is complaining, except a relatively small number of libertarians. With tens of millions of people out of work, there would be starvation without government assistance, and that’s a fact.

I’ll bet this guy’s newspaper got a PPP loan. Libertarians are always better with rhetoric than reality. Like Ayn Rand who signed up for Medicare, even though she’d been preaching all her life that we shouldn’t accept help from government.

Actually people are turning to food banks/charity

Don’t forget the government has no money. The ‘assistance’ can only last so long.

“.... big government can’t solve all their problems.”

Don’t tell liberals that. They have sold their entire political past and future agenda off the opposite of that statement. And Father forgive them for what they say.

One of the few problems I would expect big government to solve would be a massive invasion from another part of the world - sort of like what the Constitution implies is BIGGOV’s job

30-50+ Million folks later...How’s THAT working out for us???

It has shown that politicians are not scientists. It has shown that politicians think more money solves everything.
It has shown that politicians over the age of 60 are dimwits, and still believe it is the season of time of their first election.

Really? The government has been waging war in Iraq for 17 years. In Afghanistan for 19 years. And there’s no sign of stopping

Trump is trying to pull out of Afghanistan.“

Yes, I wish Congress hadnt blocked him. And the US govt/military appears to be staying in Iraq forever - even though the Iraq legislature asked us to leave. The biggest supporters of endless Middle East war are “conservative” Republicans who claim to be for small government. Go figure

“Only God is able to solve your problems....” ...and as for forgiving them, ....agreed, but only after they experience personally the mayhem and suffering their agenda has caused the masses.....repentance is called for, then restoration of their lost and confused souls will follow.

You might want to check those numbers/observations. In the latest bill put out by Congress,The Crow/Cheney amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), passed by a vote of 45-11. Crow, the co-author of the bill is democrat. And to my knowledge of what I can find, all 11 were republican.

The NDAA committee is made up for 31 democrats, 20 new ones from Pelosi, and assorted others. The majority number of the committee just happens to be 31.

There are too many in the committee that are republican that are failing in this effort. But as the majority belongs to the liberals, the bill will pass and Trump will have to either veto it or sign with consolations in trade. At the moment, we talking about the safety of over 8000 troops.

Pelosi’s reasoning for keeping us there is to keep Russia in check. I fail to see the reasoning as Russia is already there and doing what they want and have been since late 1979. What’s to be gained? It’s obvious we are not going to over run the terrorists there as no one has been able to do it in history, so win what you can, go elsewhere. Thus this falls under throwing bad money to already bad money.

The amendment was written by Liz Cheney, the no 3 Republican in the House. She got Crow, a Dem, to cosponsor.

It’s similar to the resolution that Mitch McConnell pushed through the Senate, condemning Trumps attemp to get us out of Syria.
