Or to enforce a Chinese-style social credit system. The totalitarian governments of yesteryear couldn’t dream of such a subtle and pervasive means of government control. Or non-government control: Why couldn’t the activist corporations of today simply circumvent the government and enforce their political standards on the public through such a system?
