The crazy ex-girlfriend Anne Heche was straight, only had Ellen as a girlfriend when Ellen was at the height of her fame.
Heche had her own mental problems.
And what a shame because she was a very good actress and nobody wanted her in their movies after that. You don’t want to watch a woman you think is gay in a movie where she is married or dating a man.
I’m familiar with Heche from her role on the now defunct soap “Another World”.
IMO, her mental problems stem from her dad. IIRC, he “turned” gay and eventually died of AIDS.
