I work at the post office and mail has been slow (because it’s summer) but isn’t any lower than usually for this time of year. It might be a little less because business aren’t sending out any advertising as they are shut down due to corona. I’ve heard some cities are incredibly short handed right now though.
It must vary according to location.
Our central processing center is Pensacola. It used to by Panama City, but the change was probably to save money.

Can I charge the Post Office for 1/2 of my garbage/recycling bill?
We need $1 stamps and the end of bulk rates. First class only mail system. And packages.
My son waited a week for a package to get to our local post office from the hub our mail passes through (we are in a small town). Because the package was tracked he knew where it was and it sat there that long. We were told that the postal hub was very short-staffed (not sure if it is due to COVID or what).
