HUGE! Trump White House Implements Executive Order on Online Censorship: Prevents Tech Giants from Altering Users Free Speech Demands Transparency of Moderation Practices
This Is Big!
On Wednesday Facebooks Mark Zuckerberg, Amazons Jeff Bezos, Googles Sundar Pichai and Apples Tim Cook testified before Congress in the House Judiciary subcommittee on antitrust.
Since 2016 and the election of Donald Trump the tech giants have been censoring and banning conservative voices online. The Gateway Pundit has been a huge target of these liberal tech giants.
Of course, the CEOs dismissed allegations that they are targeting and censoring conservative users despite ALL of the evidence to the contrary.

I wouldn’t have any problem with Google and or Facebook getting virtually burned down.
I have, yet another, dumb question: Can someone please explain how any President could have this kind of authority, legitimately?
So what happens when they ignore it?
This could start to get interesting....
And 3,2,1 an injunction is issued.
Ooooh!
Anti-trust would be a legally cleaner move, for sure.
will check back later for Freeper comments
These companies should be regulated as all utilities are regulated. Nothing unique about them.

One of your favorite judges will make sure the President does have the power, you can bet on that.
I’m no lawyer, but besides these tech companies denying people their 1st amendment right, the fact that Google employees were caught on video admitting that Google interferes in the election gives the POTUS a lot of leeway. Either way I’m glad he did it.
Just what I was thinking.
> Can someone please explain how any President could have this kind of authority, legitimately? <
Im not a fan of this at all. If President Trump can regulate Google, then President Biden can regulate Free Republic.
And the free speech argument doesnt even apply here. The 1A was meant to protect you from government censorship, not from some companys censorship.
If Google, etc. are such a problem, use the anti-monopoly laws to break them up.
Trump has no intention of taking this to court. It will be years if it ever even went that way. Hes simply turned on his red laser pointer and aimed it at the totalitarians in the tech sector. They will rue they day they let this happen.
I predict that Jack Dorsey of Twitter wil be the first casualty of his board; Zuckerberg will be moved out of power as well.
Shareholders will bitch at the boards as the TDS takes over these platforms.Winning!
Anti-trust would be a legally cleaner move, for sure.
Good luck with that. The anti-Trust division of the DOJ is populated with Trump hating progressive Democrats.
At least I’m not complaining about my tax dollars.
For the umpteenth time, he doesn't. A judge will strike it down. The media will scream about a subject they would normally try to bury, for a couple of weeks, thereby raising the issue to the public at large. There is no such thing as bad publicity. Most Freepers have figured out President Trump's method of endrunning the MSM's habit of censorship via blackout of certain subjects.
Treat them as a public utility
That can be worked around—create a special task force to handle the cases—include only trusted attorneys—bring some in from the outside if needed.
All doable—if the President wants to do it.
