Kneeling, promotion of #BLM, Covid19, no fans in the stands, players opting out - these are all contributing to the decline of the NFL.
So be it.

Wow - that's 12 of the NFL total of 22 opt-out players are on the Pats.
If they are high-risk, they get 350K for the year, if not high-risk they get fronted 150K from next years' salary.

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif - Dr. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, MD - announced last week that he would forego the 2020 season with the Chiefs and remain in Canada working with Covid patients. He’s been doing that since the Super Bowl.

According to an agreement approved by both the league and the NFL Players Association, players considered high risk for COVID-19 can earn $350,000 and an accrued NFL season if they choose to opt out. Players without risk can earn $150,000 for opting out. Insanity! I'm actually enjoying watching sports leagues commit hara-kiri.

This helps the Patriots take a dive so they can get the first pick in the draft next year and take Lawrence out of Clemson. No the way the Pats cheat these guys are probably being paid to sit out.

So much for the pass defense.

New England Patriots linebacker Dont'a Hightower and safety Patrick Chung are among the starters opting out of the 2020 season
Tough decision - football careers don't last that long, and abandoning 1 year out of maybe 8 is not trivial.

He has a two week old baby. Hes defensive captain and a pro-bowler.

I’m opting out of the NFL also. So as a fan I support these guys.
