The trope of “just shut up and wear a mask” is not science, ordered liberty, or constitutional governance. It’s what they do in North Korea. We need real debate on the effectiveness of masks, the type of masks, the situations in which they are worn, the duration of time, the benchmarks that need to be met to measure effectiveness, and the process for promulgating these rules. We are no longer 24 hours into an emergency. We are four months into this virus, and it’s time to function like the representative republic that we are.

Two of my grocery stores require masks now.
So, I bought the cheapest box on the shelf - about $1 per mask.
I get home, look more closely at the box.
It is freaking Made In China!
There are very powerful entities behind the Pandemic Panic push. Masks are a visual that the Pandemic is real and deadly beyond what the actual numbers support.
Yes people have gotten the virus and died. But a thin cloth mask isn’t protecting anyone. In fact, it’s spreading the virus by the act of touching your face to handle your mask. So why the show? Because that’s exactly what it is, a show.

Lock-step.
Ratting out neighbors who don’t comply.
Squashing free-thinkers.
Installing “science” as the un-elected dictator of policy.
The mental effects of denying social contact while waiving those rules for marauding mobs.
It all has a reason. And it has nothing to do with a virus.
