If you are like me, one's blood pressure starts to rise when anyone in the MSM refers to these thugs, rioters, SJWs, Antifa and BLM as protestors, violent or otherwise. These vandals are destructive Marxists and Democrats - period.
The article does go on to label them "violent anarchists," to which I fervently support. Even when "peaceful" in their approach to an area, or assembling to fire up the crowd for later mayhem, they should be arrested for conspiracy to commit destruction of property, vandalism, assault and battery, and thievery. I know these would be tough to prove, but locking up these miscreants for several months could have a chilling effect on further chaos.
What about those microwave beams that heat up would be rioters? Or those very loud sound devices to drive them away? Or simply spraying them with a chemical that stinks and dies the skin so you can pick them up for arrest later
