“I want to be very clear regarding the role of federal agents summoned to Seattle. They are here to protect federal properties and the important work that occurs in our courthouses and federal buildings. These are the places where federal judges decide cases and controversies, including those filed by protestors against the City, where social security benefits are processed, citizenship is made possible, and where the rights of the accused are protected.
Last weekend, the Nakamura Federal Courthouse was broken into, a smoke bomb and an American flag were burned, and the building was tagged with graffiti inside and out. These actions were not peaceful protests that my office and the Constitution works to protect. The Nakamura building bears the name of Seattle native Private First Class William Kenzo Nakamura. Before joining the U.S. Army in 1942, Nakamura and his Japanese American family were sent to an incarceration camp. He died in action near Castellina, Italy on July 4th, 1944, while protecting his platoon from withering machine gun fire. Private Nakamura was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor, our nation’s highest award for heroism. The people who attacked this building, a building where wrongs are righted and disputes are settled according to the rule of law, are not protesting anything; they seek only to disrupt and destroy, and through their acts, they dishonor Private Nakamura’s memory and his extraordinary sacrifice for his country.
I and my colleagues are reaching out to community leaders with one message: Let’s not let the violence that has marred the Portland protests damage peaceful movements here for a more just society. These federal agents will join our usual law enforcement staff to safeguard our federal buildings. My hope is our community will speak with one voice to discourage those who seek to hijack peaceful protests with damage and destruction. “
COME ON, Moran. We are in a WAR for our lives and way of life here. And all you can do is spew Kumbaya Bull Scat? It is WAY beyond time to forcefully put down this rebellion. You better start wising up; you can start by listening to David Horowitz: "...an SDS radical wrote, 'The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.' In other words the cause - whether inner city blacks or women - is never the real cause, but only an occasion to advance the real cause which is the accumulation of power to make the revolution. That was the all consuming focus of Alinsky and his radicals.
Now go out and round up these subhuman treasonous bastards and put them in a reeducation camp.
Be sure to burn and destroy only private and city property, otherwise you'll get in trouble....
This clown is rambling on about the rule of law while its being runover by a steam roller. A six grader could see that.
Newsflash for him and his political colleagues: these are rioters and anarchists who see comments like his as WEAKNESS.
Strength and a display of resolve is the only thing that will deter them from further rioting and destruction.
Thank you for this post. I shared to my FaceBook because I have friends who have family that fought with the Japanese American go for broke brigade in Italy. They should know that the rioters have basically slapped one of their heroes in the face.

Should have said...”My hope is our community will speak with one voice to discourage those who seek to hijack peaceful protests with damage and destruction. Or we will kill you.”
So, when “peaceful” protesters come down my street, shooting mortors, spraying grafilthy, raping and pillaging am i alowd to shoot the commie b@stards?
I think the fair minded people need to refer to them as “law enforcement officers”, not “agents”. The left calls them stormtroopers, gestapo, military etc. Need to make the point extremely clear. They are enforcing the law, they are law enforcement.
And I repeat myself on FR by saying, the authority POTUS has to send them is the same authority that the Feds used to enforce civil rights laws.
And it’s the same authority the Feds used to bring down Al Capone. Maybe the statutes have been updated, but the principle is the same.
Jim Crow Democrats hated the feds. So do these Democrats. New boss, same as the old boss.
Remember your three S’s my Friend ;’}
They should come out in the country north of Seattle again!! Ive got rifles, acreage, and a backhoe.
Just sayin....
Re-read what I wrote. I did not propose armed confrontation. I suggesting putting down the rebellion. That can be done with mass arrests, ending catch-and-release on OR, getting law and order judges to adjudicate, and throwing the book at the insurrectionists.
We are truly approaching the point of no return on this as discussed today by Mark Levin and Thomas Sowell. If it isn’t put down forcefully now, we may never have another chance.
