How many people know that Black Magic Woman is a Fleetwood Mac song?
To: PlateOfShrimp
I didn’t know that. I’m only familiar with the Santana version of the song.

Not many. I didn't realize it until I picked up a live CD of FM's from the Peter Green period, and it was on there. Also, Oye Come Va was written and originally recorded by Tito Puente.

I had no idea that was a Peter Green song!
Santana’s debut album came out right after I graduated from high school. Then Abraxas came out with “Black Magic Woman.” That was great music for my freshman year of college!

Never mind The Green Manalishi with the Two-Pronged Crown.

I didn't. Did they record before Santana or write it for him. People would be amazed how many recording artists wrote songs for their labels/friends and never recorded those songs.
