How prevalent is official contract tracing in the country now?
I tried to make reservations at our golf course restaurant for lunch on Sunday. The lady on the phone needed to know the name and cell phone number of every person in our party. I asked why. She said it’s for “contact tracing”. I told her “NFW!”, except not abbreviated.
Horrified that it might be a new dictate for the town, I called another restaurant and they aren’t doing that — hadn’t “heard of such a thing”.
So last Saturday I had an 80th birthday party for my wife with 34 guests plus band and service personnel. It was technically legal in an outdoor venue with wide spacing between tables. Am I supposed to check and see if anyone gets the virus? What constitutes a problem requiring contact checks?
