I just gave you the numbers, SoCal Pubbie. For 1918, the total deaths were approximately 200k. By the time the pandemic ended (in 1920, I believe), deaths were 675k in the USA.

Not sure how bad a virus needs to be before you think it’s a problem!

Who made you the final authority? Sorry to have to tell you this, but there are no official numbers for deaths from Spanish Flu. Estimates for the US range from 195,00 to as high as 850,000. Worldwide estimates vary by up to FIFTY MILLION.

Have I ever written that Covid-19 is not a problem? Cancer is a problem. Traffic deaths are a problem. Drug overdosing is a problem. I don’t cower in fear because tens of thousands die from these problems every year. The question is if the “cure” is necessary. Doctors thought wearing funky nose cones full of spices deterred the Black Death but that didn’t do jack shit.
