I’ve had trouble with that foot for a while. (5 years +/-) Started with a small wound on the side of that foot that would not heal. Long story shortened, the doc1 that I went to said the we needed to amputate the 5th Metatarsal and left little toe. So it happened. Got healed up OK. Then about a year passed with no problems. Then around the Thanksgiving/Christmas I got a small wound on the bottom that wouldn’t heal up and doc1 wanted to amputate My left foot. I said not yet. My Primary Doc sent Me off to the Wound Clinic for detailed Treatment. We did bandage changes every few days. On a Friday All looked good, Sunday change My Wife (A Retired Cardio Nurse) removed the Friday Bandage and said “Oh Crap, off to the ER !!!” She took a Pic for Me to look at and there was puss and black crap coming out so off to ER. They Admitted Me and started IV of Heavy Duty Antibiotics for a few days. The new Doc said We can try a massive debrieding and if that doesn’t work then we have no choice and the foot has to go bye-bye. So off to Surgery on 01/08/2020 and He scraped out the bad part and left the Crater of the Year. I got discharged 01/10/2020 and that’s when the wound vac went into action on 01/11/2020.

I keep waiting to turn into a bed sheet or blanket if I don’t get this healed up completely. I spend 90% of the time in bed to keep pressure off the foot.
