The suburb destruction will end with us.
justice.gov ^ | July 23, 2020 | President Donald J Trump

  • The Trump Administration is releasing a new rule that will further fair housing, while respecting the role of State and local decision-making for their communities.
    • This action will repeal the Obama Administration’s Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) rule, which took away decision-making from local communities.
  • The new rule eliminates the excessive burden put on local communities and gets rid of the top-down approach that dictated zoning for communities.
  • The rule will help promote housing that is affordable, decent, safe, and free from discrimination.
  • Under the President’s new rule, localities will continue to certify that they will affirmatively further fair housing, as required by law.

SAVING OUR SUBURBS: This action ends the Federal encroachment on local communities that threatened our nation’s suburbs.

  • The Obama Administration’s original AFFH rule attempted to take local zoning decisions out of the hands of local communities.
  • AFFH would have imposed a massive regulatory burden on localities, required high density zoning, eliminated single family zoning, and destroyed our suburbs.
  • This overregulation of our suburbs would have harmed Americans’ abilities to work, buy homes, and build lives for their families, including many minority communities.
    • Our suburbs are diverse and thriving communities where the majority of African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Asian Americans now live.
  • The suburbs represent a vital part of the American dream, as Americans work to build a better life for themselves and start a home for their families.
    • Providing Americans with the opportunity for homeownership is key to expanding opportunity and helping all Americans prosper.
    • Homeownership offers the chance for all Americans to build wealth for their families.

UNLEASHING REGULATORY RELIEF: Through this action, President Trump is building upon his historic reversal of the Obama Administration’s disastrous regulatory policies.

  • President Trump is delivering on his promise to free Americans from Federal overreach, with Federal agencies taking over 7 deregulatory actions for each significant regulatory action.
  • The President reversed the Obama Administration’s Clean Power Plan, regulation that would have raised electricity prices and driven up costs for Americans.
  • President Trump stopped the egregious abuse of the Clean Water Act, which threatened American farmers, ranchers, and landowners with endless litigation.
  • The President did away with a ridiculous Obama-era rule that would have banned the incandescent lightbulb, restoring freedom for Americans to choose how they light their homes.
  • The President replaced Obama-era fuel standards with the much improved Safer Affordable Fuel Efficient (SAFE) Vehicles Rule, which is expected to lower the price of new vehicles by $2,200 and make cars cheaper for low-income Americans.

The “Walk Away” group seems to have a lot of women who are waking up. Even those with hard left stories to tell.

I hope there are millions of them waking up!

How brainwashed must one be to think that defunding the police anywhere in the US is a good idea?

.................................................
The primary concerns of the great majority of women who are not ideological Leftists are: job security if they are employed; their personal safety; the safety of their families; the safety of their homes and their personal possessions. They will not vote for politicians who are seen as in any way condoning the destructive violence now underway in some of our country’s major cities.

Here in NJ it wasn’t to “punish with crime” - it was to attach them to viable hosts (working homeowners saddled with huge property tax bills) when state aid to the urban welfare reservations dried up (the state was broke). We pay for all of our municipal services locally, and without massive transfers of wealth into cities with no real tax bases, they couldn’t pay for anything.

The real destruction of suburbs here is caused first by the lack of Americans willing to 1) have children, and 2) buy homes. The taxes are too high for the McJob economy that has developed here (as real jobs left), and young Americans seek opportunity elsewhere - following the employers as they leave.

NY is watching the same scenario play out; that is why they offer “free” college. It is actually an indentured servitude, where you must live in the state one year after graduation for each year of tuition you accept - a blatant attempt to stop the young “White flight” out of the high-tax, McJob-economy dump.

Without a next generation of American homeowners the suburbs are gone; here in NJ those closest to cities are mostly filled with trafficked foreigners. The costs are too high to enjoy any semblance of a Western standard of living, and young people can clearly see that buying a home in NJ is just renting it from the teachers’ unions - while buying a share in a massive government IOU.

This is why businesses are leaving, and it is impossible to attract any meaningful employers to replace them. The NYC area’s economy was especially crushed by the Red Chinese virus because the real economy was replaced by an entertainment economy - which by its very nature requires massing people together (for sports, dining, whatever).

Our community has suffered socially and lost real estate value since, under Obama policies, the county required that the few townhomes offered for rental among us accept Section 8 tenants. Everything went downhill fast. Our HOA had previously only allowed owner-occupancy because these houses sold in three days until the Bush-Obama Depression, when people needing to move for employment couldn’t sell in months.

And that’s not even to mention the effect Dem gerrymandering had on schools, and the population demo change that went along with it. The whole purpose of Zero’s Community Survey was to break up conservative voting districts by inserting people who cannot or will not make a living amongst the productive taxpayers, forcing great social costs onto us.

Among the hardest hit in our community were black professional couples who moved out here and “finally got their piece of the pie”, only to have their kids subjected to skin color peer pressure from the welfare kids thrust among them by the helpful Democrats.

Women have far more reason to vote for Trump in 2020 than they did in 2016.

Did you handicap your figures because most women vote on superficial emotional issues and fall for propaganda in far greater numbers than men? I say this as a woman who worked for decades in the advertising/PR biz.
