Me too, Captain Beyond is an all time favorite. I recorded their 1st album from LP to digital, still listen to it.
Thousand Days of Yesterdays and Dancing Madly Backwards are hard to beat for hard rock...just make sure you set the cruise control if you’re driving...I think the last song on the album is probably the best though.

Rich Harper had two bands when he played at Naja's in Redondo Beach (if you've never been ya just gotta go!) during the 1990s, then focused on his blues style when he took the Rich Harper Blues Band on tour in Thailand and Europe. Here's a sample of his blues work ... good stuff!

They were amazing and short lived, but I got 3 LPs that thrilled me

In his day, Bobby Caldwell was the best, only matched by Bill Bruford (Yes) and Jeff Porcaro, who did session work for Steely Dan and loads of others, and eventually full time for Toto.

Some great, awesome, outstanding nominees here myFRiend - I could spend hours discussing this with you (and have many times). My suggestion is Terry Reid - he turned down Page's invite to join what would become Zeppelin. So without Terry, we may have never heard Robert (and therefore Bonzo since he was part of Percy's deal). I happen to know you like the Waterboys My, so here's Terry's cover:

Weird world eh pal?
BTW I am a Mike Scott fan but met Kurt Wallinger and World Party, they stayed at my friends house and we partied all night
Wallinger was OK but I liked Mike Scotts music better
