They’re leading up to a full insurrection. Seen this with OWS, the racial crap with Obama, Keystone Pipeline but the mayors and governors were not behind the madness like this. Lockdown and they alow this. In California Newsom has even mandated no home fellowships. I’d suggest this is evil on many levels, not just hating America.
Rashida has just inadvertently opined that her district’s residents are criminals. Because non-criminal citizens will not be arrested.
Democrats prove it every chance if they gain power Americans will have to go into dark mode operations.

I think it’s desperation at the upper levels of the Party. They haven’t been able to get rid of Trump any other way (reusing the same moldy playbook of the past), the media doesn’t have the power it once held, and who knows what their real, internal-only polls are telling them about November. Burning down their own political power bases through the prolonged riots strikes me of using one’s capital ships to conduct a probe or patrol...you do that only if you have nothing else left.
At the state and city level, I think the governors and mayors are being told from on high “do this, take the hit for the Party, and when the Orange Man is defeated we’ll make you whole”. For the small businesses destroyed, well...omelet, eggs and all that.
Most of them aren’t wise enough to consider what happens if this political Hail Mary move doesn’t succeed, though I think a few midlevel functionaries are starting to see the impending damage to their own communities and careers.
I haven't been following that. Is that for certain?

That could be a possibility, I just don’t think any of us have any idea at this point. Even if what you said is what they were actually planning on/doing they will let cities such as Portland or Minneapolis get destroyed And likely give a nice bribe or kick back to the governor or mayor of that city who will now be left with A city no one will want to live in or open a business in, look what happened to Detroit.
I don’t think these mayors are thinking this plan through. They seem to be just saying, sure that’s fine, I’ll let my city riot day and night for weeks on end to get rid of bad orange man, then will end we elect Biden and everyone will want to be back to normal and that we build my city and people forget about it. That’s not what’s going to happen.
Brenda Jones would have won in 2018 but somehow screwed up getting on the ballot...Jones is black and this district is 70% black...its Conyers old seat and Jones worked for him for many years...the polling is close but Jones is extremely popular with the black folks.....she should win it fairly ez...
Tear gas first then arrest her.
