😀 I had not heard that... nice. I cannot say that there were astronauts aboard that rocket; I cannot prove it flew to the moon and sent a manned lander to the moon's surface... etc. But I can say that that gigantic Saturn 5 rocket took off from Cape Kennedy like lifting a huge building into the air, and the noise was amazing.
We all remembered the perils of the Mercury and Gemini programs, and at that awesome moment of liftoff one couldn't help but pray for the safety of three men who were willing to put their lives on the line for their country and for history... America!
And, then, we lowered our standards.
Like FR basking in the glow of buckhead, NASA rested on their laurels.
And hired engineers that “forgot” to convert between measurement standards (metric <> USAE).
Then, of course, NASA went on to the PR business to fluff for a demonic ideology who intended to take over our country.
Space Force rises, NASA recedes.
Military precision.
