Conservative author and activist Michelle Malkin was brutally assaulted and prevented from speaking as she made her way to the speakers platform at a pro-police public rally in downtown Denver on Sunday. The patriotic event, the 6th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day billed as family friendly, was advertised in advance on social media including at Malkins Twitter, where she has 2.2 million followers.
Malkin was live streaming the event from her cell phone on Periscope Sunday afternoon as the situation deteriorated after masked thugs wearing Black Lives Matter t-shirts assaulted two speakers and then set upon Malkin. A diminutive child of immigrants from the Philippines who legally moved to the U.S. in the late 1960s, Malkin, who was born in Philadelphia in 1970, describes herself as a little brown woman with a big mouth. Malkin linked to the entire 35 minute long Periscope video at her Twitter.
On the video, which had been viewed over 150,000 times by early Monday, several individuals identifying themselves as Black Lives Matter accost Malkin as one or more of them unfurl collapsible batons and begin pushing and beating on Malkin. In the process, she loses a shoe and is eventually assisted in escaping to a waiting car by the events security volunteers, at which point the video feed ends. Malkin was understandably distraught at this unanticipated violent turn of events and expressed frustration that Denver police, who were visibly present in the area, did nothing to stop the attacks or to allow the peaceful pro-police rally to continue.

“That has to change.”
I love these passive, pleading comments expecting someone else with a magic wand to grant our wishes.
Who’s going to cause that to change?
Denver Chief Pazen, who marched with BLM last month, let pro-police patriots get beaten and silenced. ~ Malkin.
Polsi supports : masked Antifa thugs dressed in black wielding a baton ? - like in 1930s Germany.
Malkin took exception to how the KUSA-TV reporter Kyle Clark, tried to painted a moral equivalency between the peaceful pro-police group and the violent BLM mob attacking them..
>> You’re a smug, dishonest propagandist Kyle Clark taking cheap potshots from the comfort of a studio. There is NO moral equivalency between peaceful supporters of law & order at our rally & the BLM/Antifa thugs who crashed ours & BEAT people.
I know there’s been a USSC decision saying the polis are under know obligation to protect you. Malkin should still sue the city & the department on the grounds that they denied her & the rally goers of there civil rights (Freedom speech & Free Speech, etc). Sue in federal court get it out of local political influence. Also sue in civil court.
Denver police bought off. The thugs wouldn’t have done that unless they had the nod from the police that they would not intervene. Malkin is right to support police - but must pick her police departments with excruciating care lest the bought off departments turn a blind eye.
Police prove to be absent all too many times when they know a crime is going to take place. Take Chicago on any weekend. Where are they in Portland? Seattle? Any large city? They turn their heads, and even worse, kneel with these BLM/Antifa types. Do they protect businesses from being looted? Do they protect businesses from being burned?
Then the FBI is an entirely different matter. They actively work against America.
I feel rather unmotivated to stand up for police. I'm not against them, but I don't want my tax dollars wasted on one of the few government services that I previously thought necessary if they don't want to do their jobs.
“A better option would be for one that streams its recording to an online service”
I saw that on “Bosch” the other day. The recording was saved to a card in the camera, and simultaneously to the cloud. I didn’t know that was possible, but it’s a great piece of technology.
Thanks for that info. I had no idea about that police chief.
“..like in 1930s Germany”.
That’s what we’re facing.
I think people should be concerned about their personal finances being hacked into if these bastards ever have the power to do so. It is a given that conservatives are in a data base somewhere. I don’t think that is being paranoid.
OMG!
Hi George! May I opt in? Thanks!
Actually, she lives in Colorado Springs, a conservative stronghold...for now.
They were probably told to stand down. Democrat mayors all over the country are doing that to their police.
Agree completely.
Someone with a Pubbie Senator, pls contact them forthwith and ask for that.
I have two ‘Rat ‘Senators’. They wouldn’t do anything like what you state.
They’d stand up and clap.
When I saw this news here earlier, I turned on television. Fox News Channel said NOTHING! Unless, they said something before or after I tuned in.
Sooner or later, fire must be fought with fire if we are to survive. The Police are not on our side. And never have been. Ample evidence exists for that.
They were on coffee break. Union rules.
When? That has been said so many times and for so long it has lost its effect.
In a heartbeat. They would have busted the attendees heads and arrested them.
She & the event goers & organizer really need to explore the civil rights law suit option. If the shoe was on the other foot there would be an army of left wing civil rights attorneys filing multiple law suits as I type. They’ve shown us how to respond we need to respond in kind.
