OK, so the media has convinced Karen-America that we are all going to die. That it is not safe for kids to be in school. That we can't go to a baseball game. With that said....Could someone please identify any American who has DIED of COVID-19 and who, at the time of their death, was 1) under 80 years old AND 2) was reasonably healthy? Seriously. For you Twitter people, please tweet this out. I want names, locations, etc. No "urban legends" about someone's cousin. There must be newspaper articles out there of the COVID deaths involving the younger and healthy. Right?
Superman gave up his cape for a paper mask.
Kryptonite still cripples him, however.
I knew this family indirectly and gave money to their go fund me for the surviving mom and two kids (haven’t heard what has happened recently).
The story was sad. The grandmother was in a care home, they brought the grandmother home because they were worried she would catch it in the care home. They didn’t know until after they brought grandmother home she already had it, she ended up going to the hospital and died. Then it turned out the father, her son, had caught it from her when they brought her home. He went to the hospital and died. The mother also caught it and was intensive care for a prolonged period, last I heard she needed a lung transplant because her lungs were irreperably damaged from COVID. She may have died by now, I don’t know.
I’m getting very tired of all the idiots on FreeRepublic who pretend this isn’t dangerous. It’s extremely dangerous.
I’ve only had one death in my close family so far, an aunt of my wife who lived in New York City. She was elderly and in a care home.
As to Nick Cordero, I read the news articles on his situation. Apparently after going in the hospital and being intubated, “he suffered an infection that caused his heart to stop.” Something tells me that he died from the care he received (not deliberately, of course, as many hospitals are cesspools of bacteria). He had a leg amputated. I suspect there is more to the story than just COVID. Thanks for posting. BTW, what a horrible death he suffered. Ugh.

My sister is a physician, and she had a COVID-19 patient code and die on the vent a month or so back. Thirty-one year old female patient, NO comorbidities, per my sister. No, I don’t know the patient’s name, and I’m not going to ask just so you can get your creepy rocks off!
Sorry to hear that, but did they put him on respirator?
We lose ~7500 people a day from all sorts of causes. You either go on living the best you can or you can let fear of this virus paralyze you.
The internet thrives on gallows humor.

Of course “dangerous” must be weighed against other factors, like jobs, careers, businesses, health and well-being, etc. For example, I gained 15 lbs. because my gym was closed for 3 months and from not having my daily routine. My risk for heart attack, etc. increased because of the lockdowns. Lots of people are in the same boat. There were undoubtedly thousands who died because hospitals were closed off to the general public and surgeries were delayed. I think it is important to get detailed facts together so that we can make informed decisions on whether schools should be closed, etc.
I cant name a single person who is sick. My circles arent small. I manage over 100 people.

How many people died this week being killled by drunk drivers?
Yeah... Ho hum.... we ACCEPT those deaths..
“For example, I gained 15 lbs. because my gym was closed for 3 months and from not having my daily routine”
And for not reducing your eating and for not doing other forms of exercise.
But I get your point.
I have a question: Do hospitals get extra money if a patient has COVID? If I went to the hospital for gall bladder surgery and they determined I had COVID would they get government money?
A little additional info (e.g. how many patients in total were under 60?) would really be nice.
And thank you for providing the important info above.
Look at the Lone Ranger. 19th-century Texas Ranger, still alive, healthy, and beating up bad guys in the 1950s, thanks to his mask. Not sure what Tonto’s secret was—maybe the band in his hair.
I know one person by name who died from the Coronavirus (or at least his death was attributed to it)—72 years old and had a history of poor health. I had seen him on more than one occasion but don’t recall if I ever had any one-on-one conversations with him, so wouldn’t say that I knew him well.
I’m not going to talk about individuals (obviously), my average age so far is around 70.
The sickest one was also the most recent, between 30-50, recent visitor to Florida.
Steroids (methylprednisolone or dexamethasone) and remdesivir given at the right time are making a big difference. So is high-flow oxygen without intubation.
A neighbors relative died in a car accident. The cause of death on the death certificate was Covid -19
According to his wife, Nick had quite a few underlying conditions, though she might have claimed some came upon him because of the virus (diabetes maybe).
I am a close friend of his wife. We speak several times a week. She and the kids never tested positive.
