I just quit using Firefox today.
They added a new blurb at the bottom of a blank Firefox page.
It said: "We have a lot of work to do to dismantle systemic racism. One way to start is by listening to Black writers and thought leaders."
Then it had a link to "resources".

Of course none of the "resources" were black writers we know who disagree with the ideology and premises of "Black Lives Matter" and the Marxists backing them.
For now I will use Brave.
I quit FireFox when they forced out their CEO because of a $1000 contribution to the Ballot initiative to ban Gay marriage.

Is proton available as a plugin on firefox?
I have used Firefox for years. When I go to options > Home, I have my new tab set to “blank page” instead of the default “Firefox Home”. So far I haven’t seen any promotional material.
“Thought leaders”? Is that a fancy name for “chief brain washers”? Or “overlords”?
I would occasionally use Vivaldi, and I removed it when it did a pro-BLM thing last month.
Never saw anything like that in FF so far, but I use it as a secondary browser every day, Brave is generally my primary.
Just started trying out Iridium on occasion.
Found out it showed up as a “snipet” message from Mozilla. Turned off the display of the “snipet” and it went away.
Don’t care.
It showed they have joined the racist indoctrination crowd. So that’s it for me.
I verified Firefox Home is the culprit. Blank Page gets rid of the BLM/SJW crap.
“Thought leaders”:
1. Black is beautiful
2. White is ugly
3. Communism is great; freedom sucks. Nationalize every industry. Confiscate all private property.
4. Set up the gulags and build box cars for whitey
5. Black Supremacy all the way.
If you have a custom URL set for a new page, you won’t see it. Just delete your custom URL so you start with a blank page. Then you’ll see it at the bottom.
Just reload the blank page or move the mouse over the ad so the “x” appears on the upper right and click the “x” to make it go away.
I dropped Firefox many months ago. Switch to Brave was relatively painless. Imported bookmarks from Firefox faultlessly. Installed extensions I use and I was ready to go.

Not just firefox. Many companies are putting some sort of appeasement statement/banner on their sites.
The only systematic racists in America are Democrats and liberals, who judge everyone by skin tone and who love to divide America.
Good luck. Going this route, you are going to be quitting 95% of all goods and services you use then. I am not saying don’t follow your principals. It is great to see you following your principals. I’m just saying, get ready to go off grid, dump your car, start growing your own crops and living off the land, making your own clothes, churning your own butter, milking your own cows, & etc.
Every grocery store you shop at has probably already done this. Every gas station, every utility company, every cell phone company, every beer manufacturer, every clothing company, every technology store and service, & etc.
97% or more of companies are jumping on the apology band wagon of political correctness of racism and black lives matter, so good luck purchasing goods and services anywhere in the USA. I mean that. If you really refuse to do business with any company whatsoever that apologizes for racism, says we need to be more race conscious, or openly supports BLM, good luck with that. You are going to be doing everything for yourself from now on in.

I use a Firefox based browser call IceDragon and have never seen this. Maybe it’s the websites you go to.

It turned out that Hawk "Noisome" Newsome is one Big Racist POS, who likes his racism just the way it is.
Add the StartPage
scroll to the bottom and click on the box "Set as default" and make it the one which appears when Firefox starts up.
Go to the 3-horizontal-line icon (abut a half inch square on a computer screen) on the Firefox title bar and click on it, then on the drop-down menu item "options", then on "Search" uncheck or remove any of the messed-up search engines like Google or Bing or whatever. Click on the bottom line "Add more search engines" .
When you do this and make Startpage your default search engine, you will be protected against these pop-up and won't have the junky political text that you are now getting from whatever search engine that you have been saddled with.
It is not Firefox that is messing you up.
