McCain warned that Fauci is wandering into “dangerous territory” with the move to essentially become a cover model for the fashion magazine. The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases was photographed sporting sunglasses by his pool for the digital edition’s cover.
“Whether or not he wants to say he’s just a public servant, you are in politics in the sense that you have this huge role during a global pandemic during the Trump administration,”McCain said.
“And I just think the thing about the cult of personality around Dr.Fauci now is he gets all the glory when things are going well, and none of the responsibility when things aren’t going well,” she added.
“I have a lot of friends who live in California, and California is ostensibly shut down right now. Some of my friends work in the beauty industry and they cannot go back to work because it’s been shut down again. I have friends that work in the service industry and they can’t go back to work, and our country is not doing well,” McCain continued.
She questioned the endless rhetoric blaming President Trump for all the negative effects of the pandemic and his supposed failure to deal with it in the U.S., while Fauci continues to get a pass.
“We’re not winning this battle like a lot of other countries are, and is all the blame just simply President Trump? And everything good gets given to Dr. Fauci and everything bad gets given to President Trump?” she wondered.

I agree. Here in Santa Clara County, CA, Newsolini just closed all the schools for the fall quarter. Even though our county of 2 million (once a "hot spot" way back in February) for the last two months has had less than 1 "covid" death a day. One encouraging thing though is that in many if not most all of the comment sections in the usually liberal media around here, the conservatives are in the majority and growing. I hope that's a sign.

There is no logic or reason when it comes to Fauci. Fauci is a media hound. He is constantly pursuing every ipopportunity to get in front of a camera, be on a podcast or participate in press events. These activities consume hours a day in non productive preparation and travel for a few minutes on the air.
Consider the man’s job, head of the Center for Infectious Diseases. If we are truly in a pandemic, and the number one priority of the agency is developing a vaccine, the head of the agency should be working 24/7 on that effort. If he is doing his job he should not have time to waste seeking and participating in interviews, much less posing by the pool for a fashion magazine. A man committed to his job would be insisting he didn’t have time for the press, not contributing to the meme Trump is trying to silence him.
If we lived in a logical world real reporters would be asking him why he isn’t in his office. Unfortunately we live in a time where emotion has overcome reason in every dimension of our society and culture.
