My wife and I have watched DWTS since it’s inception, and are far from marginally intelligent. I know it’s hard for the holier than thou, I haven’t watched TV since the 80’s crowd, in here to believe, but there are some very smart, dedicated conservatives that just enjoy a little diversion from dealing with the crap of the real world. Shows like DWTS is mindless entertainment that is enjoyable and usually not too political. I can only immerse myself in the constant ideological battles for so long before I need a break.

Just sitting and watching people dancing, great choreography, not too much politics.

Frankly I think it’s time for Tom Bergeron to go. He was ok but time for a new look at things.

DWS is a great program and a great idea.

DWTS is the best background noise show for crafting. Unfortunately it is on during an outside commitment right now. You can listen to the commercials, the prep time, stop and watch the two minute dance, listen to the critique, repeat. When I hand embroider something, the timing is uncannily perfect.

Don’t know what to say about the hosts, I’m sure they’ll wind up somewhere. They never beat my favorite hosting team and that’s American Gladiator.

There are plenty of smart people who watch various television shows. My point is that the TV networks aim their content at a very different demographic cohort than the one you and I belong to.

Notice the huge difference between what you see on "free" TV and what you see on web-streamed content, satellite TV, etc. The formats used by people who actually pay directly for their TV service is aimed at a much more intelligent and discerning audience.
