“Just a local update. I’ve seen posts about banks being closed and folks not being able to get cash or change. This morning it has come to our local county.”

My wife just told me that the local subdivision website here in north Fort Worth, is reporting that Kroger will not be giving coin change back, unless you specifically ask for it.

Supposedly, it’s being “donated” to some “charitable fund”. Don’t know what that’s all about.

Here in SW OR, Dh went to the store the other day and was told change is in very short supply and as he was paying in cash they wanted exact amount.

Why on earth would coins be in short supply?

I know there have been 2-3 posts on these FreeQ threads in the past week about bank issues. Someone mentioned the virus contact on money. It's my understanding that the precious metal content is still high enough in change, to be microbial but that's actually not a concern for me.

i just flat do not like the speedy push to cashless. Next, vaccine required, then that "mark." Hubby's comment this morning was, "well darlin, we're getting closer to heaven."

My bet is that it’s being donated to the deep state / Dem party.

Imagine receiving between $0.01 and $0.99 on every transaction. That would add up FAST!
