Grant Imahara, an electrical engineer and roboticist who hosted the popular science show MythBusters and Netflix's White Rabbit Project, has died. He was 49.
Imahara died suddenly following a brain aneurysm, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Thats awful. I enjoyed the show, too.

Sad. RIP.
RIP.
Always loved “Mythbusters”. It was a 21st Century version of “Mr. Wizard”, IMHO. Grant and the other “kids” as I called them, were the fun group to Adam’s goofiness and Jaime’s gruffness.
RIP, Grant.
So sad. RIP.
Wow! RIP, Grant. You did good work.
Omg. I have a friend who was friends with him, although I dont know when she last talked with him. I do think it was after he was no longer with Mythbusters. RIP.
My daughter told my wife to let me know a while ago. My wife survived an aneurysm years ago and a few years later her sister died of an aneurysm. My wife recovered completely and doesn't often even think about it.
Requiescat in pace
RIP, really liked him on Mythbusters.
FYI: This is NOT the first death in the on-screen hosts of ‘Mythbusters’. In 2010, the female member of the “Second Team”, Kari Byron, obviously showing her pregnancy in multiple episodes, took maternity leave and was replaced for 7 episodes by Jessi Combs.
In August of last year, 2019, Ms Combs was pursuing her passion for speed. Already the holder of the female 4-wheel land speed record from successes in 2013 & 16, she was trying to better her 2016 record of 477.59mph / 768.61kph. On a dry lake flat, Alvord Desert, in southern Oregon, driving the North American Eagle Project jet-powered ‘car’, she crashed and died on the return leg of a speed run. Her averaged speed of both legs through the timers was 522.783mph / 841.338 kph so Guinness did affirm her record for 4-wheel & absolute speed (woman) posthumously in 2020. Cause of the crash was front wheel assembly failure, likely from an unseen, small obstruction.
Added note: While Jessi Combs was the holder of the 4-wheel speed record (2013 & 2016), the absolute speed record for women was held from 1976 by Kitty O’Neil, another US woman race driver. Her record of 512.71mph / 825.13kph was set in a hydrogen peroxide powered three-wheeled rocket car, “SMI Motivator” at the same Alvord site. She held that record to her death in 2018 while Jessi had no time to celebrate her success before her death.
R.I.P. to them AND Grant Imahara, you have left highlights in your lives, G_d Bless!
Godpeed, Mr. Imahara. Prayers for your family and friends.
Godspeed...
RIP.
