As the summer of 2020 dawned, left-wing radical groups began rioting and taking over parts of Americas cities. While this specific form of left-wing violence is new, left-wing violence itself is far from new in the United States. Indeed, one of the most hidden and concealed parts of recent American history is the extensive left-wing violence that began in the late 1960s and continued into the 1980s.
At first, one might think that these were isolated incidents of small-scale protest or even minor violence. However, upon even brief examination, we find out that the outpouring of leftist violence over this time period was anything but minor. The most likely explanation for why you have never heard of this until now is that the events of these years have been consciously buried by those who would prefer you not know about them.
As the left once again ratchets up both its rhetoric and its physical violence, its time to re-explore this period of American history. What started as a non-violent student movement quickly escalated into a campaign of terrorism against the American people. And while the similarities may not be terribly striking yet, astute readers of this article will quickly see the world in which we live more and more closely resembling the Days of Rage.

Now is not like then.
Omg it was bomb time USA where I grew up.
And it was mostly the mob.
The chaos of those earlier times was worse than today, but more people were conservative leaning then than now in dealing with it properly.
Yep, I remember all the pressure plate and receiver bombs placed in phone booths. 1/4-1/2 sticks of dynamite powder with bolts, nails, and shot.
Wrong> “Now” is becoming just like the Fall of 1969. I was there and saw how SDS was morphing into a psychotic communist terrorist group, even in the open, while my friend and FBI undercover operative Larry Grathwohl was inside the WUO. He testified before congress about his experiences and then wrote a good book entitled “Bringing Down America”.
Antifa’s only option now is to go for armed violence since they have been significantly stymied in the streets and a lot of their regional leaders arrested on FEDERAL charges.
What is key here is to discover their “underground railroad” aid/escape networks before they go deep underground. The FBI never really uncovered the WUO’s network which stretched from coast to coast.
The most violent of the BLM protesters will become the newer versions of the Revolutionary Action Movement (RAM), the Republic of New Africa (Black Marxists/Maoists), the Black Panthers updated, and the BPP successor in violence, the Black Liberation Army (Brinks Nyack robbery/killings with the help of the WUO’s May19Coalition and possibly RNA members).
What is new is a psychotic anarchist “Black Bloc” network of violent protestors who led the attack on the World Trade Organization (WTO) international meeting in Seattle, 2000. Created by a Filippino professor and Maoist-oriented supporter of the New People’s Army, Walden Bello (wrote for the US maoist-oriented weekly the “Guardian”) and a few other assorted communists.
There was also a Red Bloc of an anarchist/Marxist faction in the protests from about 2000 thru the mid 2000 teens.
A couple old SDS/WUO leaders have surfaced in the Black Lives Matters support network, Eric Mann and convicted/jailed bomber Susan Rosenberg. I suspect that others will be uncovered as federal investigations into this Marxist black/white movement continue. Might even find Mark Rudd and Bill Ayers/Bernadine Dohrn back in action.
Sorry I’m wrong.

In those days the Police were allowed to SHOOT Terrorists ...

The American Left had everything from old "cell" communists to squirrelly "New Left" activists planning mayhem since we were first involved in Vietnam under JFK.
The "Ban the Bomb movement" morphed into the "Vietnam Peace Movement" (even converting the BTB symbol into the Peace Symbol) and the American Communist Party began organizing campuses and other fertile grounds to begin obstructing and eventually ending the war.
Throughout the war years, the Left had a regular commuter service going to Hanoi and back with "student groups" getting short military training and the latest propaganda to bring back with them. They operated a string of safe houses and communications centers across the country and moved with impunity.
The biggest mystery of the whole thing was why the US Government didn't expose everything and bring the traitors up on charges.
Now we're stuck with these same traitors masquerading as "protesters".
