Tony Cervone was 3 years old when Scooby Doo began.

He had no role in creating Scooby Doo.

He didn’t work on any Scooby Doo until 2010, more than 40 years after it was created.

Not to mention the version of Scooby Doo HE was in charge of went off the air in 2013, so his personal opinions about whether Velma is gay or not have no effect on the CURRENT incarnation of the character (namely, Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? on televison and Scoob! the theatrical film, neither of which depict Velma as lesbian).
