Outraged and saddened after the acquittal of George Zimmerman, the Florida man who killed a Black teenager in 2012, Oakland, California resident Alicia Garza posts a message on Facebook on July 13, 2013. Her post contains the phrase "Black lives matter," which soon becomes a rallying cry and a movement throughout the United States and around the world.
Garza said she felt "a deep sense of grief" after Zimmerman was acquitted. She was further saddened to note that many people appeared to blame the victim, Trayvon Martin, and not the "disease" of racism. Patrice Cullors, a Los Angeles community organizer and friend of Garza, read her post and replied with the first instance of #BlackLivesMatte

*sigh* a large percentage of people will NEVER “get” that this isn’t really about race at all, and never has been. It’s about class.
A scary poor white kid with resisted arrest or was sneaking around peoples houses at night would of been treated the exact same way.
I’m confused, doesn’t BLM stand for Better Love Marxism?
I thought it was Burning Looting Mobs.....
Should've been delighted that a man was not convicted and sent to prison for defending himself.
I understand there are two separate Black Lives Matter groups. One is the avowed Marxists with express mission to destroy USA and blacks mean nothing to them. Then another that is actually for black lives. But two entirely separate groups. Tried to find the full names of each just now, but didn’t and don’t have more time to hunt.
The hoax was assisted by the Dept. Of Justice, FBI, Office of Community Affairs who contacted a SJW organization ,
then located in Jacksonville Fla., and provided transport and escort service for the demonstrators.
To suggest that the U.S. chief Executive as unaware of the situation would be fantasy,
as this was the defining and original moment of racial divide in the country.
Instead of: "Black Lives Matter", one only needs to remove the letter "v" for historical accuracy, but the media has it's agenda.
The legal counsel of Crump and Company even hired a social media specialist
in order to pose the self-defense shooting in an offensive, racial light.
Effective - yes, but only until witnesses came forth to give a different accounting,
showing Zimmerman being pummeled mercilessly in MMA style by Trayvon Martin.
But the agenda was already set into motion, and it wasn't until much later that true justice was obtained,
despite the intimidation and jingo press.
Good info. I completely forgot about the complicit of a corrupte DOJ and FBI.
Trayvon Martin was not "poor". Both parents were working. From his wiki:
"Martin was born in 1995 in Miami, Florida, to Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, who divorced in 1999. At the time of the shooting, Fulton was a program coordinator for the Miami Dade Housing Authority, and Tracy Martin was a truck driver; they lived near each other in Miami Gardens. Martin's older maternal half-brother, Jahavaris Fulton, was a college student at the time (who would later testify in the Zimmerman trial)"
Trayvon was middle-class, or upper working-class, but still a thug.
Oh yes ! That was the first official act of Federal interference FACILITATING mob rule and intimidation
that I recall.
Don't forget that the US Attny. General Holder, identified and bragged about himself as :" Obama's Wingman ".
He continued in this "wingman" capacity even with the murder of Border Agent, Brian Terry during the 'Fast and Furious' fiasco
where the U.S. Federal govt., DOJ ran an illegal gun running operation to Mexican cartels without any tracing.
Border agent Brian Terry was killed by cartel members using one of these illegal weapons, later verified.
Holder refused to appear before Congress to answer any questions about Fast and Furious gun running operation.
The "Wingman" indeed was actually a criminal facilitator who began much of the racial and class divide in the nation,
and to my mind, Holder began the politicization of Justice , and the Dept. of Justice as the "wingman".

the point was not that the police check their bank balance before deciding to be ruff with them. It’s that poor people of any color are far more likely to look dangerous or scary. But rich people can look ruff too sometimes. And wearing a hoodie with the hood up while creeping around other peoples houses at night is the same as being a poor thug, you LOOK like a poor creepy/dangerous thug.
Agreed.
If somebody thinks it’s “cool” to look thuggish, he runs the risk of being treated like a thug.
And what happens to useful idiots once goals are achieved? They are the first to be eliminated....
That is why they are called useful idiots in the first place.
The new people in power don’t want the monster to turn on them.
