My dad, in the 70s, I think, once saw a young man open a driver’s door and attempt to pull a woman out of the car. He immediately got out of his car, went to the vehicle in front and pulled the miscreant out. Miscreant ran away. The light changed and all the cars went on their way.
Dad now says it was the dumbest thing he’s ever done.

But if police are involved, depending upon the jurisdiction you may be in, it could very easily turn into vehicular maiming or attempted vehicular homicide.
It has gotten to where these things can go sideways in SO many ways.
