He should have cleaned house from the outset. I can somewhat understand why an outsider would look to GOP insiders for advice but his trust/reliance on them was a mistake of historic proportions that had huge implications.


I largely agree with you, but I suspect he simply has no choice. I point out that he has his CHILDREN in advisory positions. He has NO ONE he can trust available in DC.

He would have done better to go to the VMI graduating class to fill positions.

Its a difficult part of managing any organization but you simply cannot allow unreliable and conflicted people to remain in positions where they can undermine you because if you do they will. You have to make such moves without delay.

Staffing is probably the most important thing a manager does. It can make or break you.

Almost anyone is a better choice than someone who feels no sense of loyalty or purpose that is aligned with your goals. I really hate to say it because I sympathize deeply with Trump’s dilemma but we are all paying the price for what has turned out to be a mistake of epic proportions.

Having spent his whole life in the business world, I don’t think Trump really understood the intensity of political currents and the associated machinations. Politics is blood sport.
