It’s a binary choice, either Trump honestly does not want Sessions back in the Senate or this is a ruse. Some Trump supporters are unhappy thinking it is true, because they view Sessions as a solid Trump vote.

So we must ask ourselves: Why would he not want Sessions back in the Senate if that were true?

Logically, the most parsimonious answer is that Trump has reason to suspect this isn’t the case. None of us know what truly is going on inside Sessions head or what his motivations are, we are simply ascribing positive motives because of his past record and reputation, which is a natural human thing to do. We extrapolate from the past to predict the future.

But what if something snapped and Sessions only wants back in the Senate so he can join forces with Romney and the others to get revenge on Trump for perceived wrongs done to him? This is pure speculation on my part but when you consider this possibility it removes all doubt as to Trump’s comments.

If true and if Sessions wins, we will definitely find out after he takes office (assuming Trump is re-elected too) based on how he votes. If it’s false we’ll never know because Sessions will just go back into retirement and fade away.

This is one explanation for why Trump might mean literally what he says. I’d like to hear equally logical theories to support the “ruse” theory.

Theory in support of ruse:

1. Q says “trust Sessions” many times. This is NOT a proof of anything (because disinformation is necessary), but just one tidbit to add to the pile.

1. a. Sessions is one of the very few (only?) Senators who has a squeaky clean
record. The idea that he would have suddenly turned evil is ludicrous ( to me, YMMV). Extrapolating from the past to predict the future is not foolproof, but it’s pretty darn reliable. (Unless your past data is filled with lies.) Especially when the person in question has such a long past history to look at. A 20-yr-old who suddenly decides to smoke his first cigarette is not a huge shock, but a 70-yr-old who does so is a shock. Such a large change in behavior in a 70-yr-old begs for an explanation. Brain tumor? Blackmail? Bad data, he was a secret smoker all his life? Something.

So as you say, “Why would he not want Sessions back in the Senate?”
2. Because there is another job that is much more important for Sessions to take.

3. To expose Tuberville.

3.a. To expose others involved.

4. To expose vote fraud, election fraud.

5. To troll the enemy.

6. To distract the enemy.

7. I also think it’s possible that Sessions is busy doing Q work right now. It’s possible that he is running a campaign via twitter and is making few or zero personal appearances while he is at Gitmo presiding/prosecuting DS criminals or doing whatever his real Q job is. It’s entirely possible that someone else is running his Twitter account and “campaign”. Covid is a perfect cover for all sorts of people we aren’t seeing. (I have not dug into JS’s whereabouts, so this is admittedly wild speculation on my part.)

>>If it’s false we’ll never know because Sessions will just go back into retirement and fade away.

I respectfully disagree. If I’m right that there is another white hat job waiting for Sessions, we’ll definitely see that. If I’m wrong and there is not another job waiting for Sessions, that’s no guarantee that he’ll fade away.

IMHO there is much under the surface that we are not privy to and it will be made clear in the near-ish future. We know Sessions is a patriot. We know Trump is. We’re in a war. Disinfo is absolutely vital in wartime to fool the enemy. I am sure this is what is going on. Excatly why and what for I do not know, of course.

Dems can't vote in the (R) primary so not clear why Trump would shelf the elf if he didn't mean it. There also seems to be a fair amount of SDS (Sessions derangement syndrome) as well clouding the issue.
